  • Energy Induction on RX100

I recently installed the energy induction of rx135 on my rx100. All the 135cc rx series comes factory fitted with the energy induction. Its the box like thing with sits beneath the petrol tank connected to the manifold through a tube behing the reed valve. I guess this is the thing which makes 135s faster than 100s.

I am still in the process of testing the performance of the bike, not sure if this would affect the top speed of the bike negatively or positively and also the mileage.
I am just wondering how does this function.

Has anyone else tried installing this on RX100? I just checked with Alok sir (sixspeedtwin) he said it will improve the FE

Let me share what I think, I might not be right. When the engine sucks the fuel air mixture, the vaccum inside the resonator also sucks some amount of fuel air mixture and gives it to the reed vaive when the engine needs it.

It doesn't matter; what matters is whether you're able to think on the lines

Does it? Then how does the resonator knows when to feed the engine? If that were the case, your FE should drop instead of improving isn't it? Keep thinkin...

that thing works but is almost useless on rx100, try a smaller box , eg less then 100cc if wanna some result(which will still be nothing to flaunt off)....
that whellie popping madness will be tamed a bit ,and lil gain on middle to top revs(if carb tuned properly).....

i am using it in my 100. Difference is not noticeable. Just use your 100 without YEIS or if you have plonked it, let it be there
                      Down the GEAR and DISAPPEAR

                      Yamaha RD 350 (1984)

                      Yamaha RX 100 (1995)

                      Yamaha YZF R15 V2.0 (2012)

Does the later RX100s came factory fitted with YEIS?

like on a expansion chamber, for YEIS, the diameter/ length of the rubber pipe, volume of the box etc... is important for performance. on RX100 if you use the RX135 resonater it may spoil your bikes pick up

As of now I am pretty happy with the performance and acceleration, however didn't had time and patience to check the mileage. Not sure if my mind changes in the future. My SVC guys have done all the research with the 2 strokes way back in 80s itself when the YAMAHA just reached the Indian shores and I am sure that they know what they are doing. I hope my bike doesn't put me in a situation where I have to controversy this statement.
