  • [Photo Feature]: My Dream Suzie Restore ( Suzuki Shaolin) ...

Yes I belong to different league of peoples who love the Shogun and Shaolin most then the Yamaha Rx series. It’s all started in my teens when my neighbor “anna” had the shogun ripping hard in our street and the sound mesmerize me urging to have at least an ride in the pillion. When I grew up planned to pick a used bike for me and came across shogun & Shaolin standing nearby near in a shop which throws big smile in my face and decided to test drive both. One word I have to say is “Thrilled” riding the beauties but could get hold, since shougn’s mileage was poor as I was not affordable for my daily use and later was very expensive and I am ended up picking an samurai for me ( at least I can have the visual as Shogun & shaolin).

After some years I had become affordable to own and maintain the beauties and my searching continues for long 7 years and one day the moment came… Yes I found an Shogun standing in an workshop on the way to my office and I immediately entered and enquired is it for sale ?. He replied yes and I felt butterfly flying and called immediately Ram ( our xBhp member)” Ji Do I need anything to look for the bike ?” and negotiation started and ram asked me to hold the deal for one day as he found Shaolin from his source and I could sleep for that night and got message from ram that the shaolin was for sale and in stock condition. I immediately get the bike ( chasing ram for 3 days) and my dream came true but still I got the feeling Do I missed the Shogun..

The Bike was lying with the mechanic almost 2 weeks no job done and I am hunt for the spares, the hardest part was to get the Exhaust and 5 speed gear indicator meter and I was lucky lucky on this to get hold of the parts. After 2 weeks the bikes was disassembled and given to the painter and my painter was most wanted guy in Coimbatore and the time line given to me was 60 days for paint completion job.
The Mill was awesome with no issues and I don’t want to waste the standard bore which will easily run another 20K Kms easily and I get hold of .25 Piston, The.50 & .75 is within the reach. I had restored as Black as Red was not lucky for me. No mod works only I had replaced the handle bar with Shogun.
Thanks for Ram for his help and DriftJockey for the meter swap and Big thanks for the Raja the beloved mechanic who did this job at the best

The Shogun is Not Missed :

After 1 month I got an call from the person who owned the Shogun willing to offer me the discounted price then the previous one, without hesitation I picked this time and now my dream fulfilled. Now its time for another rebuild process for the Boss

    Cheers !!
    Karthik

Good find. It looks in a good condition. Did you inquire the present engine condition? i hope its running a standard piston and the engine was never opened. Else, I wish you luck finding the pistons and other parts.

            Thumbs up

Needless to day, Suzie looks top whack. And kudos to you Karthi ji, simply fantastic paint job, can see oodles of quality in there

Make sure she doesn't squeak out oil after a prolonged period of time, especially near the chain guard, man she looks sexy in that chain cover paint too damn hot.

Some Sunday am gonna lay me hands on her!!! hehe

Beautiful ji. Don't forget the little R1 too, she rocks anyday!! z

            Cheers!!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

            THE END
