  • The rise of the rx series {restoration and problems}

Hello my dear 2 Strokers. After riding 4 Strokes for quite a long time, I missed my first bike, my Suzuki Shaolin, I tried getting my old one and found it but to my bad luck the bike was totally dead. My friend asked me to use his unused RXG which I got an just did the engine work, the engine was on its final stage of re boring i.e. on 75 size Bore, to which I got it sleeved and standardized the piston.

I'm personally confused as to actually what bike it is. Is it a RXG or RX135? Please help me differentiate between the two and which is the best one.

I want to do a complete restoration to genuine standard. Will be posting the pics soon, once this thread is approved.
    Murthy.

    Topic Approved.

But rajit, why are you shouting? ALL CAPITAL LETTERS MEANS YOU ARE SHOUTING. Kindly don't post that way in future. Thanks. Will have to edit your post.

Sorry, Samarth will surely follow that, anyway thanks a lot for approving the thread! i need your help in restoring my RX135 bringing it back to life and run like a cheetah running for its prey.

its been a 3 days i got my engine work done as said in my previous thread, please help me

can i use 10-30 or 10-50 synthetic engine oil
which is the best 2T oil
is the muffler of both RX100 and Rxg the same?

i feel the engine a bit noisy, gears a bit rough, even i feel the ride is bumpy

in the morning i changed the front for oils and replace the front fork racer kit.

how can i know if the back suspension is not doing well?

      helpme guys

        Welcome to club Yamaha!!
Before posting please go through the threads in two stroke section. Your queries has been answered many time s here and there are threads dedicated for this alone, like how to differentiate, how to get more power, almost everything you imagine has been answered
For a start , read these threads
        http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/thumpers-2-stroke-exotics/17834-frequently-asked-questions-yamaha-rx-series.html

        http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/thumpers-2-stroke-exotics/15999-differences-similarities-between-135cc-rx-series.html

RXG had problems with ignition and other glitches which Yamaha ironed out and rebranded as RX 135.
The main difference is in gear ratio, sprockets, primary gear and clutch bell. Apart from that cosmetically the graphics were different. That's everything in a nut shell. Now it's upto you to do more research.
Mine was a RXG which got converted to RX 135. You can check out the thread titled 'project RX 135 factory rollout'
I think a new bore is always better than a sleeved one. If you want genuine parts, you should be ready to spend a good amount of money as well as sweat a lot to get the parts. I mean not all the parts are difficult to get.
Remember this too,at times money can't always help you when it comes to Rx. So if you are ready for all these you may take a deep plunge to the world of RX
