Banglore will be the better place. Head to JC road for spares though you may find it impossible to get OE parts for Z

Which model is your Z ? Is it 4 speed or 5 speed??
Parts like body panels, carb will be difficult to get, almost impossible from a genuine parts dealer.
Engine parts are easy to get compared to other parts as it shares the same parts with the 135.
Good luck with your parts hunt

I would advice you to first list out the required parts. try to use the existing parts maximum if it is intact. before hunting any parts be sure that you have seen those parts really on flesh with every possible directions (360 degree) so that you will have a clarity on what you are buying from shop..which help you avoid getting conned. dont every think of buying next time if you see any required parts..because you will not get the same when you vist the shop next time..

To my knowledge easily not avilable Z parts are clamps.clamps, and again clamps.. rest you can get with little effort.. So preserve every single parts from your existing bike so that restoring a RXZ will not be an issue any time..

XBHP memebers are always ready to support and assist you... post all you queries on the theard so that every one can guide you in the right direction..

          Happy Restoration..

Thank you for the pointers rxdude.
It is an RXZ 1998 model. 4 speed.
I want to convert it to a 5 speed.
Is there a trustworthy mechanic who I can rely on who will do a good job ?

Thanks for your advice . I am really new with bikes and i am majority put up in Hyderabad as my work is in Hyderabad, but my home is Bangalore. So I have two things in mind. If there is someone who is a trustworthy mechanic who will not cheat, i thought I'll leave the bike with him and ask him to get all the changes done in Bangalore.
If no such person exists. Then I'm in some deep shit as my rc expires this august. I don't know what to do. I didn't like the way mechanics work here in Hyderabad. I'm rather confused.

Re: Purchase of Original Yamaha RXZ spares

Hey guys, i procured a RX 100 service manual. How helpful is that with respect to the Z service manual.

Also, Is there a parts catalog that has all the spare parts of a RX Z, where i can refer to and procure parts ?

                Would appreciate your help.

Also, I would like to acquire all the tools, someone who has some knowledge in this can please help me ?

If you have the service manual of RX 135 its well and good at least for the engine part as both have the same engine.
About tools, the query has been asked by someone else in this section itself. Go through that. The same is applicable for you too.
