  • For all those who believe RX125 is a myth

I was just cleaning my house and I found this rare magazine clipping. This clears all doubts about Yamaha RX125 and yes it was manufactured. It went through pilot production and about a 100 bikes were manufactured and sold as a test product to know the public reception.

Thanks for the snapshot from journal. For a Yamaha fan like me, heard that there were small number of RX125 were introduced on trial basis or something before they shut the shop. Even one of the RX125 engine pic was circulating in the internet. Will be glued to this thread.

Good find Yamaholic. Everything looks the same except the cylinder part and the headlight fairing, at least from this picture.

          Amazing find Yamaholic....:-)

          The 56mm bore churning out 15ps at 8000 rpm...Impressive...

          P.S. Cylinder looks like a 6s one...right?

RX135 4 Speed was endorsed by escorts as RXTiger likewise RX135 5 speed is known as RXking (especially in indonesia)

That's not entirely true. Let's not talk about RXKing, though they look similar but their spec is far superior.

A 5s GB with 15ps... must have been fun to ride...

Sri, Why does the cylinder look like the 6s one's??

@ Yamaholic, the King was way superior and completely different from the Indian version of 135 5s. The king initially had a Japanese bore that put out 18 odd bhp, different crank with 4Y2 spec rods, different clutch & magnet casings, bigger generator, different timing on a different CDI and a high compression head, a Sunstar slotted disc assy and not the least a close ratio 5s gearbox that eliminated the loss of power from 2'nd to 3'rd as seen prominent on our 5s's

Although it looks similar there's a world of difference between them and our's doesn't stand a chance close to the King

Now I understand the reason behind the sticker pattern that came in the final batches of RX100.... This bike looks superior when compared to RXG what is the reason behind stopping this bike and launching a 4 speed variant. Any specific information Ram, Sri, Rx Dude and others ??
