so i purchased my first bike, a 1994 yezdi roadking cdi. for those curios on $$$, 25k.
so why a yezdi? many reasons: love for the culture which inspired the cafe racer, disbelief in value for money in the greedy modern world, minimal budget, wisdom that good basics are the most vital elements of experience and the bike looks amazing in terms of its basic structure.
now that being said, i understand the road isnt easy, which is why you find me here as i face a roadblock.
so the scene is the bike obviously has the difficult kick but my mates who are experienced could start it. though not neccesarily in one go all the time. now recently it had faced a problem, it was not started via kick but by push only, but that it stopped and we had to push it all the way up to a mech. painful, he tweaked the coil a bit and said needed new one. so i go down to opera house and get one. bike started. mech was able to do it well as well. even i was able to start it quite a few times (newb) and however it seems recently i left it a little open and its gotten all cold, no bhurr nothing. - so thats the current scene of the bike -
now i need a lot of help, i need to know if its normal for its starting to be such a damn hassle or if something is amiss in my engine. i live in mulund, if any of you yezdians have a few hours to spare, can you take a look at the bike and get me acquainted with it?
on online help. a friend told me that using irradium spark plug and a knN air filter will make the kick much easier, is that true and are there are other such mods which help make the bike more comfortable?
i have to travel approx 50kms a day. mulund to bandra and back, if there is anything that comes in your mind that can be done to a yezdi to make this journey easier, do tell.
