The chain kit change was a failure. The Apache RTR 160 Didnt fit. Because the rear chain sproket have a small bend which was changing the chain alignment, The GB sproket was good. But the rear sprokets have a molded bend. So I tried with all the model and at last went with the original Suzuki Sam Chain kit.
FYI
Suzuki Sam Chain kit : 750/-
Apache RTR Chain kit: 1120/-If she changes her oil more than she changes her mind follow her

Re: Suzuki Samurai -- No Problem Revival
[QUOTE=Royalz R15;993128]Hola,
Here is the story of the Suzuki samurai which my dad brought in the year 1998. Just like the commercial (Ad) says yes its an *no problem bike*. I dont know whether you can trust your gal friend(no offence) but I am 100% sure that you can trust the Suzuki Samurai when ever you want you can bet on it. It will stand by you..
Now, it has been 15 years from the date of purchase it completed its 15th anniversary on 15th September as per the papers. Now I thought of reviving it to the current looks. But without giving up its originality. A complete restoration so that it can go for another 15 years.
First looks: No painting work still the tank shines as it was got from the showroom thanks to my dad for the splendid maintenance., The Shields are so damaged and I have ordered for the new ones even though I cant get the originals I have Gone for the A1 Quality.
Engine : There was a noise from the engine due to over used engine barrings. So got set of Engine barrings to replace. since bore has been over used I have rebored it for second time. Then the crank shaft was wobbling a bit so mech has started the process of fixing it. And first time trying an synthetic Engine oil for my bike
Tuning: Since preserving its originality no changes to the Bore, Piston and any other parts. Will be replacing the Jet Kit, Carb Adjust screws and Airfilter for better performance and mileage.
Chain kit: Here is my questions about the chain kit. Auto mobile dealer suggest me to go with the TVS stock Chain kit for the suzuki's. But I though of having a chain kit a Roller kind of... You can see this type of chains in Discovers and R15's. But my mech ran out of options when I checked with him.. But he didnt say that was impossible.. We are searching for it.
Just help me with your expertise to have my bike come out better
Thanks a lot Bikers
Will post the pics once my babe is back

1, the sound from the engine right side is actually clutch housing sound ..its a manufacturing defect..its normal ..not a big issue..reset the clutch housing bushes..thats all
2, never bore the cylinder and put the over sized piston ,it gives over vibration to the engine and gives less mileage
3, if the engine bearing has gone, engine actually gives a whistle sound, thats actually the two engine bearings sound) you can hear it if you accelerate the vehicle
4,i have the same suzuki samurai..125000 kilometers covered..didnt touch the engine...no un wanted sound from the engine...no sound nothing at all..just changed rear bake light and front head light..chain and sprocket changed once only ..you cant believe it....17 years gone now....

Re: Suzuki Samurai -- No Problem Revival
RTR has an o-ring chain (and not whorring), which is different from conventional chain used in Samurai, Splendor etc.Originally posted by Royalz R15 View PostNo Vijeth I didnt change the carb..!! it wasnt necessary as the bikes carb was good..! and i Dont have idea abd the carb VM18 to VM26..>!! if you good give a vehicle with the carb I can get you the info

Check the chain for link to open the chain. O-ring chains usually don't have that link.

Re: Suzuki Samurai -- No Problem Revival
If a vehicle has got open chain it's gotta be O-ring chain or X-ring chain, and apache is no different.Originally posted by Royalz R15 View PostSorry About that Spelling..!!
