  • Yamaha RX100 restoration at Bangalore

    Hello All,
My friend and I have decided to restore an old Yamaha RX 100 that he owns, jointly. We are beginning the process soon and will require all the wisdom and help of all fellow X-bhpians. We are not hardcore bike guys so your help is much desired and required..We are located in Bangalore..We are going to do a complete frame off restoration. It is a 1990 model. It is in quite okay shape and ride able but we want to bring it to top notch condition. Attached here are a few pictures of the bike as it is currently. Thanks in advance and look forward to your guidance and support.
    Cheers
    Raj

Great to see one more ill patient getting treatment or should i say new life, bike needs lots of love and i hope you provide her with that love.

First of all restore it to complete stock condition.
Make a separate list of parts that needs to be replaced and the one that could be refurbished.
Get the frame of the bike powder coated.
Change the front fender, rear one i think can be salvaged.
How is the condition of the engine.
Nuts and bolts, get them zinc coated.
      Check the wiring harness.
Have you procured all the parts.
