    Yamaha RXG Query

    Hi, I hav recently purchase a 96 model Yamaha RXG, Yesterday got the bore sleeved & a SAM make pistion fitted. My query is why was the RXG a floop as heard by many, What was the problem, How can it be rectified? The price Rs 5000 was the reason for purchase. Need the Og tank & pannel (panel) sticker set for blk (black) tank , where can I purchase the same. I stay in bhiwandi

      RXG is not a flop model but its very peppy among all the RXs launched in India.
      i would love to purchase it if you are willing to sell it with valid papers

        RXG is good one unless you found something wrong. Why did you not go for Goezte Pistons instead of SAM? Anyway you got a good top end bike that will keep your grin wider as you cruise.

          This model Yamaha RXG was a failure from yamaha stable and evolved and rebranded again to yamaha rx135. Yamaha RXG had clutch hub issue and mistuned carb and the ignition is not just right. My friend had one. Whenever you release throttle it will start jerking immediately. He got annoyed and rectified the issue by replacing the entire clutch assembly(hub,disc,plate) and ignition coil with that of rx135 and upjeting with the help of local mechanic. After that it performed just like rx135. I don't remember other issues about it.
