What should be the price for such bikes? What to look for? And most importantly, What to expect in terms of ride, thump and other bullet things?

Need opinions about Military Bullets.
Brothers, I would like some opinions on Army bullets. I have been offered a 2004 350 at a tempting price with all papers in running condition (However I feel at least 15k would be needed to get it done right with minor nick knacks). I am 23 and I ride a Duke 390, but restoring an '82 Yezdi D250 too. I am considering this RE only because of the tempting price, and since I always was enamored by "bulleteering".

Firstly Army Bullets are the same as normal Bullets.Originally posted by hardashh NGP View PostBrothers, I would like some opinions on Army bullets. Bullets are not regular bikes, having owned a bull for 11 years I am confident that "any" bullet will require a certain kind of passion, madness and love. In other words it requires a lot of care like a baby and in harsh words, it requires a lot (and I mean a LOT) of maintenance, but if you do so then be assured that bullet will serve you for decades. As for the Yezdi, its very easy to maintain once you have restored it properly. But for the bullet even after you restore it, you have to take proper care to keep it in running condition.
Although its fun to some like me, going to the garage and getting your hands dirty to know the minute details and doing stuff yourself, but if you are expecting a "fill it shut it forget it" thing on it, then its the wrong bike for you.
A Bullet will never behave the same way on the same turn or the same road everytime. The unpredictable behavior of the bull makes it more thrilling for bikers to master the art of taming the beast. This is the main reason why people do not feel like selling the bullet as the excitement factor is virtually endless.
Coming to the thump, there are different versions of this. Some like the hammer action, some like the sedate bass, while some nuts are crazy noise polluters. Depends on what do you want. In my opinion a cast iron thump is the best if you are just looking for sound.
One thing is for sure that I have learnt, no 2 bullets are the same. Thus slowly and steadily once you mate with the riding style and do changes accordingly the bull will take your personality.
Cannot comment on the pricing factor, as these days bullets sell for insane amounts.Code:It ain't important how fast u are drivin, its how u drive fast.

Hi Ashwin,
Adding my 2 cents, to the apt details of ^^THE GREAT, most of your sunday's will be spent on your hands and knees (the only way to take care of Bullets), to tighten the tappet, or play around the air fuel mixture screw, just to get that sweet note.
all the bestRide with passion,
but show compassion to fellow road users
