Do share details of your scooter along with the photos if possible. Thanks

Re: Vintage scooter lovers!!!!!!!
My Dad had a BAJAJ 150 scooter back in the day and i remember the day i rode it for the first time after i got my license and what a thrill it was. Sadly when I upgraded to a motorcycle we had in all 3 two wheelers and Dad didnt ride much then so to save monthly parking charge in our residential Co-op Society my family decided to give up the scooter
Total heart break situation it was also because it was in 100% working condition and freshly painted too.

Re: Vintage scooter lovers!!!!!!!
That's a lovely scooter Lawrence..
When I was a kid my mom's dad had a Lambretta, I used to admire it so much.. and later on they sold it and bought a Bajaj scooter, by then I had finished my school and my mamaji taught me to ride the scooter.. Scooter is a fun vehicle to ride, given a little more space in our compound my next possession would surely be a white bajaj scooter with no stepney
I just love it..

Loved the background story.Originally posted by vinodnairksa View Post
Like a lot of people who grew up in 70's/80's - Scooters were an integral part of life. Cars were not that mainstream back then and most families relied upon 2 wheelers as their daily mode of transport.
Life was simple and needs were simpler back then too. My Dad had a Bajaj for many years too (After downgrading from Bullet, Jawa and Yezdi). Another family member had Bajaj Chetak and a Vespa too and also remember a Lambretta.

Re: Vintage scooter lovers!!!!!!!
Hi!
This is my first post here on XBHP. I live in Budapest, Hungary, so not exactly close to India. I registered here because I would like to buy a vintage scooter similar in style to a classic Vespa, and then have it shipped to Europe. I understand that shipping isn't cheap, after which I will have to pay import duties, before having it registered so I can ride it legally... but that doesn't put me off at all.
The plan is to buy a scooter in one of the large cities where there is also a port, somehow have the scooter taken to the port and then shipped to me.
I have several questions. I hope you will be able to help me, so here goes.
- Which models - particular to India - would you recommend?
The information I've found online is quite limited - but I see BAJAJ and LML are scooters that fit the bill. I am looking for something 50-150 cc, in the style of a 1960s/1970s Vespa/Lambretta. - Which online-portal would be best for me to try and find a scooter?
- As I am, quite literally, thousands of miles away, do any of you know of an "agent" I could hire to pick up the scooter (or scooters - I might get 2) and then take it to the port?
Many thanks in advance for all your help!
