Im too have that thing going with my bullet. But when i asked dad about it. He told me its just the vapour. Oil vapour
I can see my chain and clutch case side getting oily.
Before i went to the mechanic to buy a fuel filter. So i asked him randomly about the breather pipe.. he told me there is play in piston and what not. I didn't hear him much cause some mechanic lie. And last month i went to himachal. Was continously riding at 80 sometimes 100 when adrenaline kicks in.. so there was no problem neither with my piston nor there were any oil wastage. So its completely normal atleast for me.. dont know yours. But breather pipe was invented to lessen the pressure inside bottom end if im not wrong
    Cheers

Fantabulous restoration there mate. Cheers. I too own a 96 Bullet 350 and I would like to know what is the right spark plug gap.
PS: The golden pinstriping on the tank is that a sticker or is it painted.

nicely done but in my opinion quite a miss match in terms of BODY parts used.

Hi guys,I just inherited a 1999 Ci machismo 350 done 21500kms till date.
Facing problem of black spark plug & starting issues when cold.
White smoke appears when starting, the mechanic says that coz engine oil is filled around H mark so it’s just excess oil burning.vm24 carb also leaks fuel sometimes though the floats are fine.
          Battery is fine.
Just worried coz its a an Enfield CI & was sparingly used.
          Plz help

Thank you. 0.4mm to 0.5mm will be the correct spark plug gap. Try champion spark plug. It is little lengthier than the bosch spark plug and the engine will crank smoothly in slow speed.
The golden pin stripping is paint done by a senior painter in coimbatore Mr. Durai Anna.

You are right. Petrol tank is from 70's, side tool box and rear mudguard is fabricated ones for the look. Couple of other parts too.

If carburettor is tuned rich spark plug will be become black.
For carburettor leak check float height, if it is ok then rust in tank will be the culprit. Petrol filter will solve the issue..

the broken fins of head hurts more than a breakup gone through this.

True... Repairing don't do justice to original look though.. [emoji20]
