  • Can RX 100 Bore I Series bore be altered as RX 135?

Hello RX and 2 Stroke Experts,

I am new to this forum as member but have been reading and referring to the threads from this forum since last 4 years.

Seeking your advice: Since I have a question which has not been addressed anywhere in any forum across any forum I can browse and refer to, I am raising this query and in need of help from RX and 2 Stroke experts, to understand the following.

I have a RX 100 BORE (Brand new boxed Yamaha original piece (latest I-Series) and the same has not been used).

Q1-Can the bore be re-sleeved and the bore (piston section) be expanded so that the bore size matches to get fit for standard RX 135 piston.

Q2-If so can some one please explain in detail, what are the changes needed to be done.

Q3-Should the Exhaust hole be also sleeved.

Q4-What would be the Appx cost for this.

The necessity arises since I have 2 RX 135 (including 1 RXZ).

As of now I am having only 1 new RX 135 Bore Brand New E3 series which I have kept for 1 bike.

I will need one more RX 135 New bore in future. Since currently I am having RX 100 Bore can the same be altered to perform like RX 135.

Can some one also suggest if the above is possible which mechanic in Bangalore or surrounding Bangalore can do this. What might be the approximate cost for the same.

    Awaiting your reply.

Yes you can but you won't get the same performance. It will drop by around 2 BHP. It is good for city conditions with low end grunt. But it won't help you if you're Rx lover.
My personal advice. Don't do it.
    Is you're Rx 135 4 speed or 5 speed?

Thanks KD_19 kb_lover for your reply.

Both my RX are 4 speed and I am happy even if I get 12 bhp.

Off the topic............I recently saw a KB125 in shabby condition at a garage.

In case I plan to buy the same can you please advice if spares for this model is available anywhere in south India.

The vehicle is in pathetic condition and I want to restore it to pristine condition.

        Your advice please...............Thanks in Advance.

I'm too working on my dad's prestige "KBajaj KB 100 RTZ Delta Super Tuned"
          It's a wine red kb.
          I'm a kb lover.
kb100 sir is also a kb lover.
He is helping me in the restoration.
If you have any ask sir and also me.

Spares are hard to find but should not lose hope.
It may take months but dont give up.
Find a good mechanic and source the possible spares

          BTW where are you from?

Why dont we start a new thread for the kb family.

All the old kb threads and groups are rusted and no one is posting or viewing those.
