I was having no idea whether anybody is following the thread. I had already mentioned in the beginning that the restoration will be in a slow pace as there is not enough time for me and the parts procuring is one hell of a task for this vehicle as it was discontinued nearly three decades ago.

Acutally there was only surface rust and I managed to get rid of it with help of fine grid papers. Need to paint everything up.Originally posted by Themotoexorcist View Post

Re: Restoration of 1985 model IND-SUZUKI AX100
Open parts are so difficult to find nowadays. And the sellers are also quoting high. Handle grips are very rare and don't go for aftermerket grips. For the oil tank try to search in Bangalore you may be able to get an original one. For the number plate go for aftermarket. In the market you will be getting tail light by Minda. Go for that as they were OE suppliers. Regarding the petrol filter go for the pacco make used for yezdi's. And for the meter you need to search. Not available easily. You need to go for pricol which is hard to find. Or else you will be getting meter made by suprajit or Minda. Try to have a search in Bangalore you may find the above mentioned spares.Originally posted by Yogesh Jora View Post

Update:
Procured some more parts for the built. I don't know when it's gonna end
Got a brand new fuel tank of ax100r. So I will not be stripping of the original paint job. Instead I will be switching the decals to ax100r.
Got a new primary drive gear set, switches of shogun, handle bar of shogun, wiring kit of shogun, oil tank, std Sam piston kit. When I opened up the gearbox I noted that there were no rollers in the thrust bearing. So luckly I managed to get hold of thrust bearing and kick pawl kit. I had done Zn coating to all the nuts, bolts, axle etc. Managed to find one STANLEY made headlight bulb. Still some more parts left. I don't know when I will be able to ride my bike. Have not ridden her for the past year. Hoping to finish it soon. Will keep you guys updated.Last edited by Shogunsamurai; 06-20-2020, 11:09 AM.85 - IND-SUZUKI AX100
