  • RX135 Custom Build Questions

Im planning to build a custom bike using RXT 135 (I think its the same as RX135. Just called RXT135 here in my country), I have some questions regarding some parts maybe someone can help.

    1. Swing arm compatibility? I wanna change the swing arm to a beefier look and also convert to rear disc brakes, what swing arms are available with the least modifications needed or if possible "plug n play". Also planning to change it to a monoshock. and add bigger tires

    2. Inverted forks or longer forks? What would be better? I found some inverted china forks on aliexpress but im not sure if its compatible. or maybe change to a longer beefier fork, at the same time changing it to disc brakes. I also want to make the bike taller another reason why I want a bigger fork. also bigger tires

    3. Disc Brakes? How to convert the rear drum to disc brakes. If I cant find a different swing arm, would it be easy to convert the rear drum brakes to disc brakes?

    4. DT175 6 Speed Transmission, i've heard its compatible but is it just an easy swap or would there be any modifications needed?

    5. DT175 block and piston, I know someone who has a DT175 block and piston set. Is it compatible if I just replace the whole block and piston? Would I need to change the conrod too?

    6. What carb size should I use when on a 175 block? other mods that would make the bike better? I don't want it to be all looks

I hope someone can help me with this, I don't wanna spend too much buying the wrong parts.
    Thanks!

WHAT TYPE OF A CUSTOM ARE YOU PLANNING IS IT A CAFE RACER, SCRAMBLER ,BOBBER ,TRACKER OR DIRT BIKE

assuming that you are from phillipines from you saying that it is rxt, the best bet will be to look around in your local salvage shops for used parts, preferrably fro yamaha parts bin, , and dt175 block can be grafted into a 135 foll the link for more details https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/yamm...t-175-t26.html

try and get a mikuni vm 26 or 28 tht should serve you good , if you ve money to spare get a 28mm flatslide to boot
