  • Random Questions regarding the RX series

    Hello guys.

I had a question, Is there any option we could check the bore size without opening the head?

Like recently I have found a Rx100 1991 model and the owner said that he has done the 1st bore recently and I checked the Kick it was tight as compared to my RX where I cannot feel the hardness whenever I use it.

As per my bike condition it is running on 2nd bore size and the kick is very loose I cannot feel the hardness.

Yes, there is a method but a truly precision one.
      Steps as follows:

      1. Remove the spark plug
      2. Rotate the crank to take the piston to BDC or somewhere in center
      3. Insert a borescope probe from the borescope equipment that has inbuilt flash light from the spark plug hole
      4. You could get lucky with the reading if the piston top is clean enough from carbon and you get to read the piston dia marked over it.

      Simple!
