Lol Bosch is available and not that easily too, champion is very easily available and so is MICO.

Bro Goa is not the place you will get bike spares and accessories like one does in Banglore, Mumbai, Delhi chennai and so on, the bike spare seen is bad here.

its imposibilty to find a shaolin or shogun on the roads. the Rx 135's to are a rare sight. Dont talk about the RD. very few too. and dont bother mentioning the RTZ to people theyllask Tem kitem? translation whats that?

          Lol

                    Another Shaolin Enthu

Saturday evening, after a long week my friends decided to chillout.
We went to a dhaba near by which was like 30 odd kms from my place.

There i see a very well maintained shaolin(black colour and pink stickers combination) along with couple of brand new looking RX 100's.Awasome view.

I couldnt resist the temptation to speak to the owner of that bike.
Thought owners should be in their early 30's with some deep pockets to maintain these bikes.

So i roamed around the dhaba, found the guy to be a teenager or in his early 20's i guess(FYI - am not old am like 28ish).....

I was suprised the amount of info this guy had on this bike, no offence young BHPians but i thought their choice would be YAMAHA, HH(Karizma) and other blah blah...

He said he has got shogun's bore and the shogun's 5 gear shaft installed on the bike and the ports open so its an awasome performance machine itseems,

Gave me couple of mechanic's number who would do these modifications
and info on used or stolen(used again) cylinders for shaolin and new cylinders for 15000/- (yes 15000/- Rs) only 2 units left itseems.

then later on the guy gave me all the gyan about searching for spares in mumbai, b lore and chennai(i was like dude been there done that) finally he suggested me not to waste money on getting a new cylinder for shaolin and piston would be hard to find and piston rings etc and etc.

So finally i left them to continue with their drinking and i was happy to see one more shaolin enthu (altered ofcourse) keeping all the other shaolin enthu's spirits alive.

Ohh am not getting my spirits down will definately get the bike to its stock condition someday.

                      cool write up

and i admire your spirit, i thot just the same way, and trust me patience is what you need to restore a bike, speaking even to Naroze contractor, he told me that it took him 2 years to restore a BMW, nad he had all the contacts and money wasnt a problem for him. Besides he did all his parts searching abraod.

So just stay at it and you will for sure restore her to bone stock condition

i dunno, i checked my mileage only during the run in(less than 4k rpm) and i was getting over 50kmpl..

i heck mileage on my recent trip on the over .. over the distance of 700km gave me a mileage of 39. including highway(maintaining 80~85 on the straights) and through really bad roads.. honestly happy with what i'm getting... though i dunno if this helps you much.. the advantage of the plug is less carbon deposits.. you will not see any performance difference

                              Shaolin RPM Meter

Nowadays my bike's RPM meter acts funny, even before i start the engine is reads 1.5RPM(if i turn on the ignition key) i tried cleaning the joints or the groves or each and every cable and cleaned the battery groves still the same.

                              any inputs on this.

normally this happens if the fuses is screwed or the battery is way past its prime..
