got nothing to do with the RPM of the engine dude.. it just gives a reading.. think of it as a voltmeter without a battery..

              Surprise Surprise

This is going to make Nikhil very jealous i guess....or probably not.

Monday, i went to a TVS dealer (which is an oldest and biggest dealer) in search of spares that's because am a lazy guy, the very thought of me roaming around each and every dealer each every and shop is like forget it....

I told the person who was in charge over there that i was looking for shaolin spares, that person must be in his 40 something......he said people have been searching Shogun's spares am the first person for after a very very long time looking for Shaloin's spares he also informed not raise my hopes as the chances of getting the spares are very very rare.

He asked me what i needed, i knew i needed one crank for sure probably a cylinder and piston if am getting a piston, rings and the piston pin as well and he was like is that enough and i said for now.

He pulled out an old TVS-SUZUKI price list made some calls to find out the part numbers, after getting the part number he searched that price list and said these are not cheap...

One Cylinder Block - 2700 something.
              One Piston - 1186.
One Crank Shaft - 2485 (Crank will not be sold separately)
              Two Piston Rings - 753
              One Piston Pin - 73.

So i gone ahead and paid 3000/- advance and placed an order.

Today morning i got a call from the dealer stating except the cylinder block all the parts were delivered on thursday itself just that he was waiting for some info to be provided on Cylinder block. So probably on monday i would know if tvs has the cylinder or not.

So Nikhil i suggest you go your nearest TVS dealer and place an order for the piston.

incredibly lucky.. i searched for over a year before i found the bore and piston kit lol.. try find out what else the guy has in stock i'm sure everyone will have something to buy.. STICKERS!!

                  also

i see the yellow marking on the piston.. youneed the bore to match that.. the the bore should have the letter Y on it somewhere.. hopefully it matches for you.. didn't for me

na na sat 06 bro am anything but happy man, really happy that u got the crank, well thats one part thats not really needed, but u have it now none the less, real cool, well i got myself a dupsi piston from bombay, thanx to ameya ghande, got my engine ripped apart yesterday, to see the internals are not that ok, theres a prob with the con rod and clutch bell. Otherwise all the piston pin and all are fine, engine had seized and dats evident with the hone marks on the cylinder and piston. Iv gotten the original bore, piston(dupsi) rings, sprocketing and a spare suzuki engine that i found at the scrap yard to help me out with spares, the piston i got looks a lil iffy, but my mech says more tahn good to do the job, as far as clutch bell and basket and that damn con-rod, there should be a way to get it done at the lathe.

Again all the best to you on ure rebuild, and av tried the piston n other things at my local guys here, no luck, can u gelp me out n see if he has the crank, con rod, gears, and stock piston with a blue dot on it?

Atul Bhai, i ve seen that already, if 3 or 4 months down the line if unable to source an original block then will go for the oversize. As you might be knowing i have a new Piston, Piston rings,PIN and Crank assembly sitting idle in my room delivered by TVS.

TVS has informed me that by next week if they can provide the block or not its been almost 2 months since i placed an order with them.

                            Hunt is still on.
