Shaolin bore was in my backyard (almost 20kms from my place)and i was searching for it in the entire country.

Me and my friend were on our way back home after visiting a friend and he wanted to get his victors front foot rest fixed which was bent cause of an accident, i took him to the near by place the whole street is full of spare part shops which i visited twice for shaolin. visited few shops either the price was high or they didnt had it.

so we went to one corner shop which i ignored twice on my visit we got the foot rest and while speaking to the vendor i asked him any shaolin parts/spares like bore or carb, he said he's got the bore..i was like WTH.. all this time i was etc and etc......bore was looking new, no rust no tampers the price 2200 bargained for 2080.

I was completely out of money, this new year it was a bad start believe me had to go through a lot , i literally had to beg my friend to buy me the bore.which he did, i owe my friend for the money, his bike for the footrest and the distant friend whom we had to visit etc and etc.

Ohh ya and it has got the 'Y' mark on it don't know if it important or not as the piston also has a yellow paint mark on it.

The piston has got a 'S' mark on it inside on the walls.

SAM piston i guess......might be a supplier for TVS.

What are the chances of REED VALVE getting busted?

'Sam' OE supplier??no way! those are the only aftermarket Indian pistons u get for the Shogun N Shaolin.. not at all close to original performance. u cud get them for 350/- Rs. or so..

Hope TVS has delivered a good piston to me..otherwise its a complete waste of investment.

What are the chances of REED VALVE getting busted?
My Mech says REED Valave is not working properly..

the best way to check the reeds is to inspect them visually. check the petals, stoppers, screws etc.. post a pic if poss.... chances of them getting damaged is rare unless a sharp object gets lodged there destroying the petals.

Dont worry. What you have is OEM. Its not from SAM. Use it. You wil have fun riding . BTW you have original rings right ?

Yes vasanth, till now what ever spares i have got/bought are all of TVS make.I guess the only difficulty i will be having is getting a OEM 14T sprocket and chain the 39T Rear is from FIERO oh yaaa and the STICKERS, i guess people have forgotten about it.
