Voted! Good job there! All men dream, but not equally. Those that dream at night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act upon their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. - T. E. Lawrence

@ Sunny, can we put this thread as a sticky so that more people get to view it?Originally posted by Sunny View PostGreat work and voted.
@ Thunder, He he. U missed reading the spec sheet properlyOriginally posted by Thunder View PostHei IBW where is the Rear Brake???
Did i missed it?
. The rear brake is a sprocket brake, with a 4 pot caliper. Essentially, the rear sprocket doubles up as the rear disc rotor. This feature is found mostly in high end custom cruisers
@ jd666, Electrical turbo's are all crap. The ones sold on ebay (fan type) are all scams. I looked into them thoroughly before going into this setup. The trouble is they can generate the volume, but not the pressure of air to the required level. Google them up and you will find most bikers tuners worldwide trashing them as a scam.Originally posted by jd666 View Post@vivek - what about an electrical turbo???
and then again, what rpm/boost will the mechanical supercharger run at to give the desired bump in power?
The mechanical supercharger will be driver by a belt connecting the supercharger unit to the pulley attached to the crankshaft. The idea is to generate 3-4psi boost at the absolute bottom end, so the bump in power will come right at the word go...i.e. the moment you step off idle and open the throttle. Boost again will have to be limited to 4-5psi coz no one really know how much pressure the RE engine can handle. Already the stress level's have been raised significantly by raising the compression ratio and increasing the capacity to 700cc.

@vivek - Yup, I was referring to peak boost and yes it does vary across the rev range, thats how all turbos are. 5psi is pretty good on the bullet man. How is the CDI handling the task of retarding the ignition, static or dynamic way? You are probably facing a serious turbo lag coz of the ignition retard at revs below spooling. You need a good ignition to fix this bug.
I'd suggest you keep an rpm you guage what exactly is happening in the set-up.
However all said, you have done a brilliant job. Keep up the good work!sigpic
