    Tips for 2-strokers
Something I decided to put down for the benefit of all the 2-strokers out there. Feel free to add to the list!

[u]Last resort</u>: If even after this your bike continues to lose power (misfires, jerks, no pick up, etc.) then you must get the dynamo-coil checked.

    B. If your bike misfires at high speeds or needs to be kicked more than 6 times in the morning to start.
[u]Last resort</u>: Check Power Coil and CDI unit and get the petrol tank cleaned as an extra measure.

    C. The gears slip while riding or changing.
[u]Last resort</u>: Check the gear rods, whether any teeth are broken on the cogs or if there is any lateral displacement/error between the cogs.

    D. The bike wobbles at high speeds.
[u]Last resort</u>: You chassis/frame must be bent, in which case, it is almost impossible to align unless you buy a new one or get it fixed by an expert.

    E. Sharp reports are heard from the exhaust whenever I start my bike.

    1. There is an excess of 2T oil flow to the engine, reduce the oil flow and it should disappear in a days time. You would also have noticed the bike emitting white fumes.
    2. Check your spark plug.

    F. When I give throttle I can hear some noise from inside the engine.[u]G. When I change gears the bike jerks.
    1. Check the clutch adjustment.
    2. Change your clutch wire.
[u]Last resort</u>: Learn to ride better!

    H. Bike races but does not gain acceleration.
    No Scars No Proof!

Wow all summed up into one mega guide ... i think u should rename this dummies guide to 2stroking

    One more thing
Every time i kick my bike in the morning it needs will never kick no matter what. But when i choke it .. it fires up in 2 kicks. Now a days many times i have to choke it even after a ride to get it started . So is that normal or do i have to go in for a new spark plug

@leighton: I don't think you've to change your spark plug.
If your bike is running on a lean air-fuel mixture then you'd need choke to start the bike even after a ride. But it doesn't mean any problem with the bike(assuming that the mixture is not too lean).

u might want to check the plug too just to be on the safe side.

awesomely comprehensive list for 2-stroke bikes man. anything like this for the four stroke dummies like me.
whenever i put my bike into the first gear and try to go for a racing start (even a lil bit), the bike moves a bit , then there are 2-3 metallic clangs from near the engine, and then the bike starts the actual acceleration. are my clutch plates gone or something ? is it a major repair in store for me ? a note over here : when i drive my bike, i really rape it in terms of acceleration and top speed so i might be destroying my gears in the process.
