Hi all,
I would just like to share my opinion about this, which is that an engine like that of the Royal Enfield (UCE, CI or AVL) is essentially still crude & raw relative to the Japanese engines available here (as per what I have read & heard from other bike enthusiasts). This gap has reduced with the UCE, but it still exists.
Like someone mentioned here that the design is terrific & breathtaking, but it comes accross as very futuristic (my opinion) & somehow picturing the UCE engine in that futuristic design doesn't seem to do justice. Something like the Revolution engine from Harley Fatboy in a NightRod. It would still look awesome but I feel that it would somehow appeal more if the conventional Fatboy plant does duty on the rather conventional Fatboy design.
But, all in all, the effort's worth a praise & applause & looking forward to see something coming to life out of this.
Happy & safe riding,
Prakhar

Yeah... I got your point bro... While designing the Fantom I had 2 major targets in my mind.Originally posted by blackfire_9 View PostHi all,

1) To make a custom chopper based on the UCE like no one else has imagined before at the same time a practical one too..
2)To prove to myself that I can design a bike (Atleast cosmetic) and make myself focus on my dream of becoming a designer..
Mainly I thought of going a step ahead of all the customization jobs that we see around [No offense meant to anyone...] and I thought a perfect base would be the RE engine.. Also I hav previously done a 3d model of my own TBTS. So I started from it....
Thanks very much bro for the appreciation..sigpic

i wonder that we got it we know how to do it ! look at that designe, a perfect futuristic cruiser no doubt that its the one and only desing in the world with original concept. that man has not even borrow anything for RE (except engine) true a master pice.
but one thing that make us " oh yaar ! wat is that RE uce doing in there ? "
Guys we are solving the problem. and the answer is to build a new engine. the approch is step by step and we come the stage where we need a CAD designer to just render the internal parts of the engine. i could have done that but m illiterate in the case of the CAD designe but i know each and every part of the engine and if someone out there who thinks he can contribut a little bit plz join us. at
"building a v twin 850cc engine" on the xbhp. i hope that those who read this must know wat we are doing and the task is not easy. those who can't designe or don't know CAD can help by searching thier friends or other xbhpiens. plz don't let the dream die and save it for the future. once again help us to bring this to life. thanx.Last edited by rahulingle1; 08-08-2010, 02:02 PM.sigpic
