    New RD350 speed record

    hi guyz....just wanted to share somethin....after a lotta patience and hardwork on my bike i finally broke the speed record (for a modified rd350 on stock silencers and stock gearing)....the venue was sarjapur road at 2am last night with the rest of the bangy rd gang...speed was measured using a sigma digital speedo...the new top speed is 177kmph ...i'm very happy with the results and hope to do better in the near future ....i still have some jetting and minor work to do after which i should be in the 180's....i believe this is the fastest for a rd350 on stock silencers in india...thankx a ton to Ron for building it for me

          thankx guyz..and yes it will go past 180 easy..coz right now i'm on very lean jetting..once i fit the bigger jets and a good fairing..it should go into the 190's...

              Now thats a great topic you have posted! I had almost given up reading the forums cos of the 'my bike is better' wars going on here. We would all like to see your bike's and your pic and a higher top speed too Killer! Would love to meet you someday![8D]

                hope u get past 200 soon btw i would luv 2 race my 180 with ur rd in 400 mtr race u start 4m 400m away i will start 4m 50m away

                  Did you guys catch the article in Autocar I think Jan or Feb issue about the drag races in Mumbai. RD was the fastest Indian bike . It clocked 15.256 secs for a 900m strech and RX was not far behind at 15.65 Secs

                    that comes out to be 207.02875 km/hr..

                      nizan, the RX135 used was a drag bike, its engine gets screwed up everytime it records a serious drag run.

                          actually killer will go faster after loosing some weight LOL.yes his bike will go faster no doubt.and without expansions is the key.with expansions it is easy.but without them engine optimization and jetting plays big role.and unni is a speed freak so he will press on for more.way to go killer.

                            Rajnish do you know anyone who makes good expansion chambers for RD/Rx in Mumbai? And is it true that bike running on chambers destroys the piston/rings?

                              no if exhaust duration and engine dimensions r kept in mind.and upjetting is must or u'll have melted pistons.proton good for rx.for rd only ron has good stuff.
