Currently i am using the Stock Cat Con sylincer that come with the RX135 5 speed... Need suggestion should i dump the cat con sylincer and move to Chrome sylincer. Is there any change in the performance of the bike by converting Cat con exhaust to the Chromed Exhaust please suggest.....Regards

Congrats on your 5S, Very neat Bike.
What was the reason to use 4S Carb instead of 5S, does this make any difference in the performance ??
Most of them here in bangalore replace with Chrome exhaust which comes in a 4S RX135 to reduce the weight of the bike. Cat con Exhaust's are heavier than Chrome one.
Iam not sure if these replacements make any difference in the performance.

Thanks Sir, The previous owner has replaced the orignal main jet with 115 main jet and that carb is not performing good. So i replaced it with 4Speed carb and performance is much better that 5speed carb..Originally posted by bhargava_sr View PostCongrats on your 5S, Very neat Bike.

Got the Orignal Main jet for the 5speed carb too so will check the performance change once i fit it on the bike..Regards

165 main jet, with uni he has upjetted to 185 mains."Engine tuning is not an exact science, but with some practice and patience you'll get comfortable with your skill and be able tune for any conditions mother nature throws at you"

Silencer change can be done. I believe there will be very less increase in the pickup as the chrome silencer is easier to breathe as compared to catcon. Also the weight reduction will help as Catcon alone weighs 12kg !! So definitely weight will be reduced by 10kgs.Bikes don't leak oil, They mark their territory.

Currently i am running 185 Main jet with needle clip at last point and 17.5 Pilot jet with UNI reading the plugs it seems its running bit lean so have to move one size up..on the main jet and pilot jetLast edited by roshiba777; 06-28-2010, 11:23 PM.Regards

AFAIK, its possible. U can see that there is provision in the engine clutch side casing for the rpm meter cable. A threaded part (Like we have in the front wheel for speedometer cable. Sorry, I don't know its exact nameOriginally posted by roshiba777 View PostIs it possible to find the RXZ135 5speed meter's speedo and RPM meter n centre console i want to fit these meters on my RX135 5 speed and what other changes need to be done for fitting these meters.

Me too planning to shift to chrome sylincer but changed plan so now looking for some good chamber..
* I am using the 4Speed carb model no. is 4TL01 on my RX135 5speed.
* I am using the RDD CDI with UNI and 185 Main jet. I will suggest you to install the RDD CDI, UNI with matching jet and you will feel the immidiate change in the performance of the Bike. RDD CDI n UNI are the best things which you can gift your RX. You can join the RDD Forum www.rddreams.com and you can get answer to all your queries there and gain a lot of knowledge regarding the RX..
* My bike starts in first Kit and there is no problem in starting even in the coldest temp.. Please clean your Carb. and check if your pilot jet is blocked which size jets you are using on your RX main jet as well as pilot jet whats their size.. Also check if the breather hole in the tank cap is not blocked.. Try starting your bike with the tank cap open if it starts without any prob then your breather hole in tank cap is blocked open it..
After checking all that please tell me what are the results...Regards

Nice bike you got there, especially the orange RD.Originally posted by roshiba777 View PostIs it possible to find the RXZ135 5speed meter's speedo and RPM meter n centre console i want to fit these meters on my RX135 5 speed and what other changes need to be done for fitting these meters.
Coming to the query, RX135/RXZ 4-Speed speedo unit is available, but not the original 5-Speed meter with 5-Gear marking, very tough.
Fitting is possible, but as someone has pointed out a hole needs to be drilled on the RHS clutch/GB cover. IF the drilling job is not executed properly then there will be GB oil leakage. This is the reason i avoided it. You can always try to source a RXZ 4-Speed RHS cover, but not the RX-Z 5-Speed cover. Well that leaves you with 3 options:
- Drill a hole very precisely & fit in the speedo+tacho combo.
- Source the RX-Z 5-Speed RHS clutch/GB cover. Next to impossibe.
- Forget the combo & run the stock single speedo setup.
Hope you will come up with some solution soon. Also for some parts kindly refer the spares section for RX thread by JD666. You will get a lot of info.
