I am new to the tourer section and ever since i have read about bike rides to Leh and other places I was planning on a short trip myself.
Being new to touring and a novice in riding I didnt want to take my chances on a very far off ride so chose a small hill station named Amboli on the outskirts of Maharashtra which is around a 100 km from my place (Panjim).

My friend and I started at around 7:20 in the morning (without any breakfast as our mess does not provide one untill 9) and it started to rain, we once thought to postpone the ride but then decided against it and borrowed a rain suit from a friend of my mine.
Our first stop was after the rain stopped on the NH-17 the highway was shining after the rain.

After that we stopped at another place by the side of NH-17 where the clouds were covering the top of the tower and it looked like the tower was reaching the heavens but by the time we stopped and took our camera from its 2 layered plastic protection the tower's top was back there.

After we crossed the Maharashtra and Goa border we entered a town named Sawantwadi where we had our breakfast in a restaurant named Shantadurga at around 9 a.m. (awesome breakfast and taste).

We headed for Amboli from there on SH 121 and came across a beautiful stream of river shot some pics and headed on.

Some pics from the way.

we both had helmets

At around 11 we reached the Amboli waterfall. First waterfall with steps to reach the top. We didnt go in the water though.

Continuing from there we reached the Sunset Point(no sunset that day because of the clouds).

Went to another waterfall which disappered into an underground river.
The lens of the camera was fogged after that and was not able to take more pictures.

Had lunch and headed back home.

The return ride of 100km to Panjim was done non stop.
P.S: I feel a bit stupid posting this 220km ride with the likes of leh and manali trips. Waiting for a ride to Leh
