  • Bangalore-Trichy

Well guys in a week from now I'm planning to do a Bangalore to Trichy. I'd like to pull this off with my bike. So far I'm alone (as of now) so these would be my prime requirements,

    1. Suggest me a good route map and route in a route I'm looking forward to

    -- Avoiding night journey
-- Good roads with less Danger Zones be it locality or traffic as I'll be lugging a SLR with me.
-- Would like to preferably make it a one day journey with reaching Trichy as early as possible.

    2. If someone can rent or lend me their saddle bag for this 2/3 day trip it would be great.

    3. I have done many 300+ trips in a day so distance i think wont be a problem, but being alone boredom is always there so if someone wants to join it would be great. I'd like to give a small visit to Tanjavur the temple city as well if time permits.

I have gone through the google maps thing before and i use it daily and i must say sometimes it is deceiving as well inside city, just wanted a route information on how safe is the road during rains and all.

@Sudhir I'll let you know bro, I am definitely going this weekend as I have to go to trichy but a important work which i cannot postpone has jumped onto me this saturday afternoon. So my plans of leaving Saturday early morning is not working out. I'm left with a starting Saturday evening ride or a Sunday early morning ride whichever is SAFER. But we will have to get back by monday morning as well. Was wondering if it is worth pulling it off with the bike, or I shall just board the saturday evening bus and be back by the sunday evening bus and reach early morning home. Let me know sudhir what you think of it. Honestly speaking I dont want to go in a all night journey in some unknown route alone, so its your call!

Once you are out of Bangalore the road as well as traffic will be fine
even in rain their wont be much issues

was traveled via that route to thanjavur almost 9 months back

But i have no idea howzzzz it now (may be our politicians credited (digg) some surprise for you some where

From trichy to thanjavur road as well as the traffic is bad

Bangalore to trichy will take almost 350 Kms will take close to 8 hrs
so prepare your journey start time as per
