After some time I slowed down for Surojit, Anant went ahead.
After riding slow for sometime, I saw the CBZ finally closing in. After Surojit caught up , we started moving steadily forward and joined Anant as well.

Around 12 kms from Aurangabad, I crossed a chowk, I was in rythm and road was straight, I didnt bother to stop. I soon a hit a town and had slowed down, when Surojit caught up with me and said that, I had missed a turn to the AUrangabad bypass, at the chowk.I checked my cell, Anant had called multiple times. So I turned around with Surojit and we rode to the same chowk. From here we took the bypass. Along the way we saw some shining examples of highly "disciplined" Indian traffic. Top award goes to the rickshaw wala crossing the highway, with absolutely zero regard for the oncoming traffic. After "congratulating" him using the choicest of words, we moved on.We soon hit Aurangabad. We crossed the pathetic traffic and even worse roads and were happy to finally leave Aurangabad behind. We were on our way to Pune. The sun was now setting
down we got some beautiful views of the sunset. The light was absolutely beautiful.Me and Anant were ripping now as there was only a little time left for twilight. I dont know what speed I was doing (according to Anant who was right on my tail, he was doing 130-odd), when out of the corner of my eye, I saw a head with two horns on the divider. In a matter of seconds , the head moved along with the large body of a buffalo and ran onto the road. I was on a collision course with this confused buffalo. I instinctively pushed the left handle bar and ran wide of the buffalo (There was no time to break). I was concerned about Anant who was right behind me. Fortunately, he too avoided the buffalo and was back with me.
The buffalo incident happened at around 5:40PM, before we reached the Aurangabad Bypass (Which we reached at exactly 6:00 PM). This was the same stretch of road where we also saw dead bodies of at least 7 dogs within 4 km (2 of them were were actually at the same point on the road, 1 in each lane), Of course we have no idea how many were on the other side of the road. Coming back to topic here, this was not the first buffalo we encountered on our trip.. but that one actually was the closest call. As Hyperion already told, both of us were ripping at that time, and i was doing a speedo indicated 138kmph while on his tail, and was in the process of overtaking a speeding Suzuki Ritz from its right (i.e. the fast lane). I was about 2 seconds behind the Ninja when I saw it swerving urgently towards its left.. With me running parallel to the Ritz neither did I have that option, nor would it have been of any help, as, by the time i would have reached the buffalo, it would be right in my line. At that point of time.. 3 things went through my mind, in the following chronological order.
    1. "Screechh!! Screechh!! Bang!!"
    2. My accident on 20 March 2010 : http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/help-me/...-old-lady.html
    3. Escape Route!!!

I acted, and acted fast, braked + avoided the Ritz(to my left, who also braked and dived left) and the divider (right). Within the 2 seconds, i slowed down to somewhere around 70, in effect, giving the buffalo extra time to clear the road in front of me. Thankfully enough, the buffalo kept on walking at its pre-decided pace + direction and there were no sudden direction / speed changes by the buffalo. (Humans and dogs in this regard are much more and pretty much equally unpredictable.)

When there was still 10 meters remaining before i reached the buffalo, I realized, that the passage from behind is safe apart from the rope tied to buffalo's neck. choosing to ignore the said rope, I rode over it, and accelerated back to my cruise speed of 120-130.. Though a bit shaken, I was good to go.. Good thing we soon slowed down for surojit to catch up (and for me to catch my breath) .

We were doing decent speed when suddenly we saw this "RIDER" + PILLION (fully gearless..). Hyperion was leading us and me n Anant were riding side by side.... suddenly the "RIDER" came to Hyperions side... and was oogling at the bike and somewhat trying to challenge him. Hyperion downshiftedand slowed down... but we couldnt get rid of him.... he was waiting for us a few hundred metres ahead.... then Hyperion went ahead and we did the same... now the RIDER was behind us... and i was jus thinking "I just Wish Anant blocks him on the righr lane...then I'll take care of the left lane.." and so it happened... Anant didnt let the RIDER pass him and I did the same. After a few trials the RIDER gave up the thought of riding alongside the NINJA.... me and Anant had an Evil grin across our faces....
I guess the message was passed on telepathically, and whenever the RIDER tried to overtake me from the right, I kept on pushing him onto the oncoming traffic, constantly hoping Surojit too doesn't let him through from the left. This actually went on for 2-2.5 km of trickling-pace-riding and finally he gave up.

Another such incident happened on Bund Garden Road, Pune when the trip meter read 1050 odd km and we were on our way to Pune Station for the celebratory drink (In this case Coffee). Here a helmetless Hunk Rider was racing the Ninja, and to his delight, this time we let him win, the race and a congratulatory applause (From Hyperion), purely because we weren't looking for any kind of trouble the end of this successful short trip.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

EOS Rebel T1i is the US brand name for Canon 500D.

Inder you need to relax. There is no such camera (as far as I know) from Canon which is named 3D. In anycase, Surojit was kidding then, I do have 500D.
