  • [Photo Feature]: Crouching Rider Hidden PotHoles...!

Hey Guys want to share with you about the ride I have gone on last sunday. It is from Hyderabad - Nagarjunasagar Dam - Ethipothala Waterfalls and back to Hyderabad a total of 350kms.

Sorry for the bad qaulity pictures. I am not carrying a camera because I dont own one!! (The pics are from my Mobile VGA camera)

To justify the tilte: I have selected it because almost all the roads are single laners and there are really big potholes suddenly popping up on you from nowhere...

Now coming to my ride I have started from Hyderabad at 6.00 in the morning and headed out towards the outskirst as I reached there I found a very good fourlaner road and thought that this trip is also going to be a High speed dash just like my first ride but this thought has subdued once I corssed the airport access road and came on to the real highway, I slowed down to speeds of 50kmph as there are a lot of bumps on the road and thought this ride may not be as good as I planned but only after a 5km bad patch the road conditions improved but to my dismay it started raining, not exactly raining but a light drizzile as I left behind the concrete jungle and proceded towards my destination the scenery got more and more beautiful and with the contionus drizzling it made the surroundings more exotic, there is green vegitation on either side of the road and some hills at a distant place partly hiding from the mist of the rain. The scenic surroundings made me ride slower and slower without getting bored even for a single kilometer. I kept looking at the horizon in awe of the beauty. I have not take a single break till I reached to my destination The dam(n). Its like I have rode all the kilometers in a trance of the beauty.

I said the Dam(n) because there is no water flowing, the gates are not open and that is what I expected to see as all the upriver dams are overflowing then I have gone to the place around the dam like Boating Point, Old bridge, Foot of the Dam and all these and then proceeded with my ride towards the waterfalls in some what a gloomy mood, the roads towards the waterfalls are awsome as that is a ghat section and you can see big gorges on either side of the twisty road ....

As I reached the waterfalls the rain continued and as I took a look at the location I am in heaven its a really beautiful falls I have ever seen, that is what you may call Picture Perfect (but only I dont have a camera) I clicked some pictures from my VGA cam and dwelled at the location along with the scores of monkeys patrolling the surroundings. As I looked at it for some hour or so a thought occured to me that some architect designed the entire thing and got it constructed! its that perfect everyting thing is there where it is meant to be and the rain added to its beauty.

Here are a couple of pics from the falls....

Then I started my ride back home and am really latched to my mobile all the time clicking pictures of the road then I stopped at the Dam once again and took some more pictures ....

Finally I came away from the dam and the hills and am riding steadily but unfortunately it is raining heavily but thanks to my gear I did not have to stop anywhere. But the roads made the ride difficult with all the mud on them I skidded a couple of time while braking to avoid the potholes. I felt like the road is laid more for cattle than other automobiles which made the road still murky(may be because of any market in the nearby village I dont know!). Without any major setbacks and two stops I reached home by 2.00 in the afternoon with a Completely wet riding gear completely dirty bike and a satisfied smile on my face...........

I decided to buy a SLR camera as early as possible because that is the only thing I missed on this ride!

Those stickers, I bought from the xBhp stall in South India Auto Expo 2010 in June... I even got a big sticker but it got wet in rain and the adhesive spoiled so could not use it
