Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I would personally like to THANK Razor Blades,Satyen Poojary,TrustVishwas,Beruoist for the gears they provided me. Bluevolt for the shelter in Bangalore and finally n_aditya ,kwokfist for an awesome welcome.

And also, to my co-riders without who this fun would have never begun at the 1st place.

Hyperion - Thanks mate for that Ninja ride!!! I loved it. And you were a good lead taking care of your follwers.

Surojit - You better get key rings for your bike's keys. You keep on forgetting them everytime you stop the bike and delay our trip. Thanks Turo!

Antz.Bin - You FASTEST INDIAN, better slow down for us.I believe this was more of a solo trip for you in your return journey. Thank Cheeti.Daan

Amogh Navalkar - Sutteri no.1. Wherever we stopped even for a camera break...he popped up a cigg and delayed us. Thanks Mogiya!

Some pictures from my camera - this was at the 'see off' point which was 60km out of Bangalore... But we rode for another 90 km after that.

The pune gang enjoying their breakfast and coffee (and smoke!) at the Tumkur CCD....

Wonder how I missed this thread. Worthy ride for a worthy cause.

I read from the first post that you were planning to put stickers in the local language on the bike. I could not spot them in the pics. somethng I may have over looked?Or was it because that would have provided you with limited opportunities to interact with the kids at the tea stalls/hotels.

If the ride does indeed change even a couple of lives, It has served the purpose. In my opinion that is the 'lasting impact' that is expected.

                  Thanks bro...

Actually we couldn't get the stickers done on time... and that turned out to be a blessing.... because we were able to interact with the kids... and seeing the attitude of the owners I am damn sure that the stickers would have kept us away from them.....

I expect even lesser... even if 1 life is changed that is more than enough for us...

Darsheel Safary). What they do is by choice most of the times. They attend proper schools and get proper education. This is 1 type which is not a form of exploitation.

The other type is children working in occupations which are non hazardous in nature. Actually the above scenario is also a special case of the same type. In this case, at least the lives of the children are not endangered due to their work environment. We have to choose a middle path and allow non hazardous employment as thats whats funding their family, food and in some cases even their own education.

The type we need to target is when the children are subjected to inhuman work conditions, and not even paid minimum wages for it. If you see a child labourer working at a metal workshop, welding shop or a garage, that could well be termed as hazardous work conditions
and thats what we have to target. Children work in fireworks and matchstick factories, thats what needs to be targetted. At least the child working in a TV serial is not endangering his life in the process.

The topic concerned is a very sensitive one and needs to be handled with care. There is nothing in this world which is completely black or white. You have to learn to choose between the shades of gray.
                          I agree with you.

Yes its a very sensitive topic.
I had witnessed Child beaten up by the drunken shop owner in a metro city India. Back in office after the lunch I cannot work and was so disturbed that day.
Another day I saw a guy questing some other day an customer asking a juice shop fellow in the same city.

Costumer: how old is that kid?
Costumer: I'm from the labour office?
Shop Keeper: Sir we are doing buisness with high rent and cost of living, blah..blah blah..
Costumer Whisper to his wife: We dont have to pay for the juice....

                          Sorry I opened up.
Most of the kids working in TV and Movies are from a middle class or rich family. No Arguments on that.

Yes this is totally OT Must Lock or Delete this thread...

A very nice and necessary initiative bro!! Its the something I've been thinking that I would do in the future except for I was thinking of teaching children. Biking can be used a worthy tool for addressing such social evils. Wish you all the best!!
