  • Looking for Touring Partner in Himachal

I am planning to do this itinerary. Would either start on Sept 25th or the weekend after that November 2nd. Though November 2nd looks more likely.

    Here is the tentative plan:

Day 1: Delhi - Manali. Stay in Old Manali
    Day 2: Manali Local
Day 3: Manali - Aut- narkanda - How long is this route and how much will it take? Possible to do in one day?
Day 4: Hatu peak in the morning before sunrise for photography. Leave towards Sangla Valley after brreakfast
Day 5-7: Sarahan/Sangla/ Chitkul. (These places need to be improvised) I plan to see Sarahan, Sangal and Chitkul.

    Will work on further plan.

    Anyone?

Very much possible. If you start at 6 then you should reach Jalori by 1-1.30p.m and Narkanda is another 100km from there.

Thank you. I will ask him. However, I have seen many logs for that route.

As for your question to MG, he used to live in Delhi.

^^Ha Ha. Should've seen the wink smilie!

So any suggestions for the route? I might do the Silosher lake (or is the name of the lake near Jalori diff) hike.

sorry--ours was a quick dash thru the following route :

                    Nako------190Km------------ Rampur.

                    Rampur-----Sainj---Jalori Pass----Aut----Mandi---Jogindernagar----Palampur---Pathankot -390km

Dhairya, the name of the lake is Serloskar lake its a 5 kms trek from the Jalori Top. You can find tents also for the stay at the Jalori Pass. I Would suggest to spent a night at there and then move further the next day. Staying at Narkanda can be skipped. You can visit Hatu Peak while coming back from Chitkul, it won't take much time.

Any weak hearted person will definitely deny moving ahead after reading this warning board
