This thread is now dedicated to my Yamaha FZ-S which got stolen on 29/9/10 !! I miss you so much my baby.. 
Besides the fact that I did this trip almost a year ago (6/1/2010 to be exact) I'm not much into writing, Hence this would just be a photolog of my trip. Used a Sony Ericsson Cybershot C510 mobile camera to shoot the pictures. I read a couple of triplogs of guys in chennai riding to elagiri. It kind of inspired me should i say. I had done some 100kms,200kms,300kms runs by myself since i had bought my then new bike Yamaha FZ-S, I thought Elagiri was the perfect next destination with a distance of 500kms and test the bike as well as my endurance. Then I wasnt a active member of Xbhp so i called my friends, many said they would see but none came forward and the trip got postponed alot(main reason for me being active on xbhp now. i love to ride with you guys !!
) but in the end i said "enough is enough i shall do this solo !!". Did i say inspired previously? Let me correct myself I wanted to do a trip which has been done time and again with no surprises and I looked forward to a well planned(not exactly) and a blissful ride. Since it was January (I picked it specifically to enjoy the "winter" scenery.) expected it to be cold so wore multiple layers of clothing. Took alot of chocolate bars and 2 bottles of water just in case. Stopped in between for about 4tea breaks !! Not for the tea but for my body to warm up from the heat of the tea shop stove !! lol Below is the route map. Final odo reading 493.1kms, fuel consumed 15ltrs.

tanked up but forgot to check tyre pressure 1st mistake !!
I expected it to be cold so wore 4layers of clothing since i dint have winter clothing but dint expect it to be THAT cold 2nd mistake !!

it was blistering cold !!! i was praying for the sun to come out but the sun seemed to have no effect !!
at the one of many toll booths i used as an excuse to take a break lol
the cold was killing me !! but i went ahead with the ride remembering chennai summer !!

I wanted to be up there.. NOW !! but i had alot more kms to go !!
The highway was really good. since it was the first time it dint bore me but on the return leg i realised what they meant by "highway blues" !!

spent a good 10mins just drinking in the scenery !

now for the final leg of my destination one: Elagiri !! I could stop myself from grinning thinking about the "twisties" ahead.
