Myself Niranjan ( skoda) & my pal Nagaraj this time rode a very very
long & exciting motorcycle trip across India ,Nepal, & Bhutan about
18612 kms in 64 days from jan 23-mar 27 2010 .

Our bikes for this ride are Honda unicorn 2004 & hero Honda splendor
2003 ..we now based in Bengaluru . we started planning this ride from
2009 july . previously we have ridden south india thrice ,western
ghats upto Mumbai twice about 2k-3k kms .so we got a lot of experience
to ride north himalayas & east india as well
but we are short of money to do this kind of long ride in motorbikes
.but we have managed to get sponsorship from govt of karnataka
-Gethnaa- sports dept .

Our other aim is that we should create awareness about Adventure
sports as well as Global warming to school children all over india
along the way & to plant trees in every state --save our one & only Earth

We also got little help from friends ,well wishers ,like minders &
8-10 Companies from Bangalore .

Finally on jan 23 ,2010 Sports Minister Gooli hatti D Shekar flagged
of our ride . . overall its a awesome experience covering each &
every hill stations ,shrines ,himalayan roads metros,desert & lot of
adventure sports including river rafting ,paragliding ,trekking
,desert safari , we went through all type of weather cold winters in
rajastan, uttaranchal ,snow falls in kashmir gulmarg ,heavy rain in
punjab & cherapunji , extreme hot & humid weather from west bengal to
tamilnadu -east coast .

First 2 days we covered 550 kms from bangalore on the way we saw
chitradurga fort & belgaum fort in karnataka -many worlds one state ,

Then we went to Maharastra-land of short trees ,film capital ,bikers
capital -pune & to visit kolhapur mahalaxmi temple .next day we went
to lord sri sai baba temple then we ride towards nashik
& then entered Gujrat- land of chemical factories , there we covered
some shrines ,gandhinagar ,ahmedabad .

on 8 th day we entered the majestic & heritage state of rajasthan
climate was pleasing till feb . first we covered udaipur palace ,lake
,floating 5 star hotels ,ropeway ,boating . then we ride towards mount
abu ,its a hill station for west india . next day we went to jodpur
covered all places then went to jaisalmer here we went 2 day camel
safari in sand dunes of that desert it was superb .next day we went to
bikaner & then to jaipur here we saw hawa mahal ,saw some architecture
strutures ,palace .overall rajasthan is beautiful in winter .
On the 14 th day we went to agra to witness 7 th wonder of the world &
extremely beautiful Taj mahal -hearts fullfilled . on the way we saw
fathepur sikri , agra fort .

On 16 day ride towards capital New Delhi-land of metro ,cycle wallas,
.here we covered India gate ,Red fort ,Jantar mantar ,Raj bhawan
,Parliament , Lotus temple ,Red fort ,Qutub minar we even travelled
evening in Metro to feel. Raj ghat Shanti vana & Vijay ghat also seen
.

Afterwards we ride towards Haryana- land of evergreen fields here we
covered panipat,kurukshetra & then towards Punjab - land of wheat
fields ,ever helping people to see the Golden temple in Amritsar .its
so magnificent that when we enter inside Golden temple we got pure
peace of mind , so that we cant go outside of temple a couple of hours
.we eat delicious food in languar of temple ,witnessed wagah border .

After this we went to Jammu & saw some oldest temples .next we went to
mata vaishno devi here we trek for 2 days .
then next day we went to kashmir-land of Beautiful valleys,snow capped
mountains ,good people & military ,
this side the valley road got dangerous drops around 5000-7000 feet
drops . so we have to be very care full .first we enjoyed the
beautiful side of patnitop ,then next we ride towards srinagar &
covered dal lake & many beautiful gardens . another day we ride to
Gulmarg .there we witnessed 4 feet snow fall .we think this is a
switzerland of India .the view is mind blowing .wherever u see u got
white mountains & small villlages fully covered in snow fall .next day
we ride to Pahalgam its also as beautiful as gulmarg .next day we
encountered mild snowfall after Jawahar tunnel that was awesome
experience .

Then we entered Himachal pradesh-land of himalayan gods.beautiful
people & covered dalhousie ,himalayan view ,dharamshala ,Manali- snow
covered valleys,shimla- nice hill station.In kulla we enjoyed river
rafting in beas river .

Then we ride to uttarkhand- Land of gods-devbhumi .here we covered
lord kashi viswanatha ,yamunotri ,gangotri & bathed in purna kumba
mela in haridwar .here also we encountered rain fall .after riding
towards pitoragarh & through tanakpur connecting Mahendra Nagar
Rajmarg we entered Nepal .

In Nepal -land of mount everest & mount k2 .here almost drinks liquor
for morning breakfast ,they ride cycles very much .here we
covered,mount k2 view , 4 national parks ,World peace centre ,Pagodas
Phokara ,Katmandu swayambu temple ,Lumbini ,& another day we went to
China border .here we entered china & do some shopping in china & came
back ,totally after 7 days .we ride towards india -Siliguri through
border town of kakarvitta in Nepal.

From Siliguri we ride to Darjeeling .here climate was superb ,full
time fog ,small train is a thing of beauty .next we entered the clean
city gangtok of sikkim . here mg marg is so beautiful .everyone have
to see it to believe it .Chongu lake & Gurdongmar lake is ultimate in
terms of beauty & at a altitude of 14500-17200 feet .

Next we ride towards assam ,from here we some how managed to enter
Bhutan .here we spent 5 days covering Thimpu the capital of bhutan
.its a calm clean beautiful city with beautiful architecture & paro
another city is also in the beautiful valley & a nice airport layout &
placement in high himalayas .

Then next we ride to assam ,here we covered mans national park
,kaziranga national park ,assam zoo ,kamakya temple .
Next we entered Meghalaya- land of Air conditioner ,beautiful lush
green valleys here almost everyone knows english .here we saw
beautiful elephant falls & a clean city with a good bright night life
.next day we went
to Chirrapunji -Wettest Place in the World ,upto afternoon that day
was full sunny but after 2 pm clouds gathered & we witnessed heavy
torrential rainfall .then we thought its proved its name .to have
Heaviest Rainfall in the World .

Next we started ride towards west bengal -land of Dense population ,5
noble laurettes .here the extreme humid & temperature started to rise
after 2 days we came to kolkatta .here we covered Temples ,Victoria
memorial ,Jadughar, Howrah bridge & many architectures , sweets
&street foods .

Next day we ride towards Orissa -land of Humid Heater - 40 Degree celcius .
here saw lord jagganath puri, superb Sun Temple at konark & chilka
lagoon with dolphins .

After this we ride towards Andra pradesh -land of lord Vishnu -Rice
Bowl of india . Hyderabad-moghul capital ,here we covered Ramoji film
city ,Salar jung museum & Char Minar .on this way we saw Vizag port
,Vijayawada prakasam barrage & finally we went to darshan of lord
balaji at tirupati tirumala mountain .we got superb darshan of lord
srinivasa -vishnu ,then we collect prasadam -Laddu .

next we ride towards Tamilnadu- Land of Temples ..Oscar winners
Chennai- here we saw Marina beach ,Rajiv gandhi memorial & many other
architectures & ride towards kachipuram ,Golden temple at vellore is a
beauty

Finally after long 64 days -18612kms ride on our superb work horses
Honda Unicorn & Splendor we came to our home town Bangalore on march 27 ,2010
