..Lets start the story. I, along with 2 of my freinds went for a trip from Delhi to Agra (and back on next morning) on 9th October, 2010. As it was the first ever biking trip for all of us, its kind of special for us and we will never forget it.

)How we got the plan buzzing in our minds
On the previous sunday (2nd October'10), we (all the four best friends since our school days, namely Garry, Abhinav, Ashish & Arun) were on an outing to GIP Noida. There, our mind struck with the idea of going for a small tour as we are bored of hanging out in Delhi. So, we decided to go to Agra and worked upon the plan for the whole week after tuesday as i was having a seminar in my college on tuesday. Then, on thursday, my friend Ashish got his bike serviced (3rd service actually) and my bike was just went for 3rd service about 2 weeks ago.
But unfortunately, due to some family problems, one of us (Arun) had to cancel his plan for the trip, so we decided that rest of us will go for it.
OUR JOURNEY
As we planned on friday night, Ashish came to my home on 6:00 am and we left for Shastri Nagar to pick abhinav from his house. From there, we followed the route of Karol Bagh-CP-Pragati Maidan and then got our babes (read bikes
) up on NH-2. Around 7:00 am, we were on NH-2.The route we chose is the obvious one, i.e., Delhi-Faridabad-Palwal-Hodal-Mathura-Agra.

About the roads, as we all know that the roads in CP are awesome as always and that too at the time of Commonwealth game, it was a treat to ride on. About the NH-2, the material is good but I expected it to be wider as it is a National Highway and that too the SECOND one. Its a bit narrower than expected. But the condition of the roads is good throughout the whole route, nice to ride on.
We cruised the way from Delhi to Faridabad and Palwal at around 80-90 kmph in the first stretch and had our first stop just after crossing Palwal at APNI HAVELI. Actually i stopped there as i thought its some branch of the famous HAVELI
... but we recognised that its not that Haveli
but still we had some gulping time there for us and obviously some rest to our babes. We had some Paranthas with Chai
there and enjoyed the little meal. We planned to stop there for 30 minutes but we didn't get to know how we spent 45 minutes there

So, after that, we moved ahead and cruised all the way till we crossed Mathura and then stopped to some little Dhaba (don't remember the name) just to have Mountain Dew and a 10 minute rest to the machines. From there, we moved on to the final destination, i.e. Agra and reached Sikandra at around 11:30 am where we saw the Akbar's Tomb and his grave there.
At Hodal Toll Plaza...

From there, we moved on to Agra City and searched for a Hotel to stay at. Crossing the by-pass, we found a cute "Scooty waali" girl

and we took our bikes on both front-sides of her scooty and didn't let her top-up her speed due to that she blushed heavily there
Anyways, moving further, at Kamla Nagar we stayed at some Guest House named Shri Ji Guest House. There we got a room for us.
After resting for a half hour or so, we got fresh and then moved out with our machines to visit Agra Fort where we parked our bikes and had lunch in the market opposite to the fort and then entered the fort. we spent approximately 2 hours and then moved on to Taj Mahal in an auto-rickshaw leaving our bikes in the same parking as there's no parking facility near Taj Mahal. Saw the marvelous creation which got its name in the seven wonders of the world. Loved it

After 5:30 pm, we came out of it, went back to the Fort parking to pick our machines back and thought of passing some time in some malls or so
... we asked the localites for the same and they directed us to TDI Mall. We roamed there for some time and a team of elephants were bouncing in our tummies
... so, we stepped in the McDonald's which was there in the mall. Had some burgers, ice-tea and cokes
... and after that, we moved back to our room at Kamla Nagar. After resting and chit-chatting there for an hour or so we had our dinner there and then we roamed around on the by-pass road in the late hours of night
... loved that as we shared (talked about) some sweet memories of our school time
Calling it a night, finally be went back to our room and had some pagalpanti and masti as in talking about our childhood days and then slept while chatting... haha...
At the next morning, we woke up around 8:00 am, got fresh and went to have breakfast which was delicious

Then, at 10:30 we packed our bags to leave and got back on highway at around 11:00 am. Cruising the same route back @ around 80-90 kmph, we had just a single stop at Hodal where we had some Cold Drinks and gave some rest to our bikes for around 15-20 minutes and then straight away came to Delhi and reached home @ 3:30 pm

A really nice, exiting and memorable trip... missed Arun (the friend who had to cancel the plan) but it was really a great trip for us
