beautiful pics.. I wish I had a bike here to ride around! after looking at your pics I am itching to ride.. its too late now though since winter has almost started!

wish to read more about your trips!
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

Lovely pictures...these roads are straight out of wallpapers, beautiful roads and locales..

I just couldnt resist from asking, what is the legal speed limit on such roads for motorcycles and are such roads monitered for speeding like the freeways?

PS: would love to see more of the Route 218,you had mentioned earlier.
Hammer the racetrack. Pace yourself on the street.

Amazing fall looks. Temperatures must be going southwards by now. Enjoyed going through your log and photos. Feel sorely tempted to come and join you for a ride. But I am yet to travel that far!
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Thanks. Yes, last two weeks have been too cold. I am riding to work(station) this week as the temps are in 40s & 50s. Where are you?

Thanks. Inside towns & villages its 15-25 mph, outside, it ranges from 35-50mph depending on the road. Speeds are absolutely monitored. Since there are no/little crimes in these areas, all cops do is catch speeders. When driving/riding with wife, no problem on that front as she acts as a rev-limiter. as you will see in the videos.
I was planning to go to Rt 218 this weekend, but my cousin & his family is gonna come for a weekend visit. So here goes away probably the last riding opportunity this season. I'll try if I can sneak out for a couple of hours.

Thanks. You are welcome anytime (though there won't be any riding December - mid-april)

Oh it is a long term plan. It is not happening soon. Thanks for welcoming me! Will certainly let you know if anything materialises.

              Ride videos/ Bear Mountain

Here are the videos of two of the rides. I have updated the original posts as well. The videos are hi-def. See them in 720p resolution.

              Route 22

              Bear Mountain Bridge Road

Few months ago, we went on the leisure ride to Bear Mountain. Here are some pics at the top of the mountain. I forgot to take my camera that day. These are all cellphone pics.

The Road that you see across the river is Bear Mountain Bridge Road, the road in the second video at the top of this post.

That day, a couple of US Marine Corps Osprey aircrafts were doing sorties over the Hudson River & around Bear mountain.
