              good going, but during braking how do u guys cope? coz what i tell my gf to do is to keep her palms against the tank when i brake or during normal riding, and then again shift to my sides under acceleration.

                  i had a couple of hard ones enroute,(without warning) her helmet hit mine but she told be that she had put her hand on my back as cushion. she was keeping hands on my waist firmly not around my waist(as the belt strategy failed) which would transfer the weight. the best option here will be to have 2 way communication with rider and passenger so that i can warn when i have to accelerate / brake. but this will not work on sudden braking. work out something and inform.

                    @harikeshpk,
                    Nice triplog sir,
                    the best way to get balanced on breaking and accerlating is asking your better half to keep an eye on traffic(road) and on your riding. I mean, a pillion should be able to read the road along with the rider..this is just my experience..

                    Thanks

                      ^^ +1 to what he said, and also try the hands against the tank method. Pushing against your back would require you to control the bike, handle yourself and her weight as well pushing against you. This will balance things out and moreover she will have firm support from the tank.

                          Cool Ride! Me as well planning a trip with my wife as soon as my cramster saddlebags arrive. Shucks - I hope they allow for a pillion to ride once they are put on the bike! From your episode - you opted out of it. Anyways - hope for the best.

                            yes its the most ideal thing for the pillion. but this applies to more for a bike riding pillion( experienced rider ). may be after some riding i expect my wife to be more responsive and improve it.

                            tank bag was placed on top of a chamois leather sheet. there is no chance of scratches this way. but if it rains well i dont know. yet to face the situation.
