Hey!! I was at Kashid on the 7th.. looks like i owe the community a Travelogue.. BTW.. my ride was much closer to 600km.. I think i did see a geared-gang of 7-8 yammies (Mostly FZs) while returning.. but unfortunately my riding partner was in too much of a hurry to slow down and have a chat.

Log + pics -- Part 1

Destination known: Path discovered

As all Pune guys know there was a G2G planned which was postponed to 6-7 March and previously it was considered to be a huge one…

But everything planned is not always what happens. And this time it was the same, so nothing happening over the weekend. Life was like a lake so peaceful so calm (what I mean is BORING). I was surfing internet as usual when that phone rang.

I got up to see who this fellow was and it was Inder . Picked up the call and here it comes he asked me what is the plan? We are going to kashid; call up some people so we can ride by 1 o’clock. I called the Pune guys and he tried for the Mumbai people, it took very little time to see everybody was busy on my side. And so I hoped that somebody should turn up from Inder’s side. When no proceedings till 12:45 Pm I called him, and another bang nobody turned up from his side too. I asked him now what and he told me if ride is decided it’s ON, you seek for some other place and we will go.

I searched for many places but they were not so good. After an hour or two Inder bhai called and said “There is ------ named place near Alibag we will go there, and we will leave by four”.

Note: ------ was “Karpe wadi” a resort near Alibag, name of which I was not remembering till we were leaving.

Finally 2 riders,

1) Inder - Red ZiMA (Red)
2) Rishabh - FZ 16 (Red)

At 3:40 Pm Inder called and told me he was leaving his place and will meet me at the Dehu road junction. I reached there by 4:10, me and Inder met at 4:35.

And we left the place by 4:45 Pm. It was a genuine cruise till Lonavala then a small traffic and then we reached Khopoli in no time till here I knew about the route, now Inder was leader and I was the follower. After some time we stopped to take photo-shotos, there the Expressway looked so long and smooth, Inder took some pics of the babes standing on the other side of the road (the sizzling red hot Karizma and stunning FZ 16).







And then we head towards Penn. In between stopped at a Road side to click some more pics, the road was covered by small hills and trees (felt awesome).















And again we headed towards our destination. As it started getting dark so I switched my shades with my spectacles and wow I can see that there is light around the thing causing dark were my shades…

And then we stopped after crossing a bridge over the river just after crossing Vadhkal Naka, near by there was a factory with a big chimney and light all over the place, so pics khichna to banta hai na yaar…

So here we go again:

Now it really was getting dark so we drove consistently at 55 – 65 Kmph and reached Alibag at nearly 7:30 Pm. Now here comes the problem at the entrance only when we asked the local guy about the place that Inder told about, he nodded his head as “NO I DON’T KNOW…” but the other guy sitting at collection office told him something and then he told us the way, according to him our destination was 8 to 10 kms from there. So we headed towards it in between when we asked the local public they were behaving like they have never heard of something like this, when at a small gumti we asked a person he said “it might be one of the resorts at vikroli beach, there are many of that type there.” And when he only asked two other guys standing there he contradicted himself and said “I live there but I have never heard of a place named Karpe wadi”.

And now here comes a police wala who suggested a way and we moved on but Inder doubted him and to confirm he was right he checked the name and availability of contact number of the same place on internet. But to our good luck “no contact number available” on the site. So we asked local public and here we got a good response and everybody giving the same direction. There we found out the place which we are searching there was in NAGAON (a small village nearby) so we headed towards it, and since it was dark and now we knew where to go, Inder told to stop and take some pics…

Even I was thinking the same. So we stopped and did some click click click…








We moved ahead and in nearly 20 - 25 mins reached at a place which was near to the destination which we were looking for. There, a guy told the resort we were searching for is after a small light hanging on something at a distance of 1.5 to 2 kms, and it was a kaccha road. We reached Karpe wadi and the owner welcomed us saying “NO ROOMS AVAILABLE, THANK YOU FOR VISITING KARWEWADI. HERE IS MY CARD, NEXT TIME WHEN YOU ARE THINKING OF COMING HERE (SPECIFICALLY ON WEEKEND) KINDLY BOOK THE ACCOMMODATION IN ADVANCE”.

Now we left the place in search of an accommodation and luckily found one near by in just 5 - 10 mins. Rent asked was 700 bucks. We said “WHAT”. And since it was week end no issues, we bargained and finally the owner provided the same in 550. Then we were in a mood to get fresh as soon as we can and reach the beach. So we left the place around 9:15 since got the accommodation near the beach we walked instead of riding.

We reached there and what a beauty >> no lights >> we can’t see the beach >> no absolutely nothing. Still we tried to move ahead towards the shore using the flash of the cams we were having, after walking nearly 700-800 meters(but in the morning it was really just 10% of the total beach which we walked) still no water, nothing visible, so what to do now and we started clicking pics again.

After all we came back had our food at a shop nearby, the food comprised of a veg-meal (i.e. chapatti, 1 sabji and daal-rice) for me and Inder bhai took egg bhurji and chapatti-rice and what to tell..both were so tasty..yummmyyyy. So we were done with the food, now was the time of roaming around. So we went to the beach sat there for a while looking at the clear sky, so many stars(a very rare scene to spot such a clear sky in cities ), the sound of waves, it was beautiful. We left the beach by 11:30 or so and reached the accommodation taken...in the mean time on reaching the lodge to our surprise we see Rachit also..co-incidentally he had also come to the same beach in the morning , decided to wake up at 5, set the alarms and went to sleep.
