OO MAN .. What a trip ...
Waiting for the detailed Log ..
Ernakulam to Hyderabad in a single stretch is too much man ..
I doubt whether any one in Xbhp did that (other than saddle sore through highways ).
I know the present condition of roads in Kerala and it is really difficult to ride non stopsigpic

Thanks for the acknowledgement about the route that i did it on. Ernakulam to coimbatore, was all single lane , messed uppp horiiible washed away roads of kerala. Sorry to say roads in Kerala rank among the worst one's i have ever been on. After coimbatore few stretches were good but roadf widening work and restoration is going on in most patches. After reaching salem untill Krishnagiri i got 4 lane highwayOriginally posted by Jithu View PostOO MAN .. What a trip ...

and then i was back on single lane NH 219. two way traafic , plenty of villages and people....this continued even on NH205 uptill Ananthapur. From anathapur i got 4 lane nh 7 for the las 385 kms but sad part was temperatures were freezing and it was raining cats and dogs.
Really appreciate the comment bud
This ride is a product of my decision to resign from my job. all i wanted to do was ride to Kerala, what after that I do not know. Anyway, the Ride started frm Hyderabad early morning and with no hassles made it to bangalore around 3 pm (4 lane NH7). Till Bangalore I found some one to ride along as he was on d same route on d same day. Iskcon temple located right on the side of NH a lill before Ananthapur : -

Soon as entered Bangalore, pulled over by cops with speedguns (somethng we are not used to in Hyd) and got challanned. Worst was yet to come, the guy who was riding along crashed his bike right in front of me and the cops. After whole lot of negotiations and some dough we went on our way. Made it to ma cousin's place thrgh outer ring road and a mere 12 kms journey took close to 2 hours. Bangalore traffic, pheww !! after few beers down, took a ride in the bangalore local bus and the feeling was nothing but good. been ages since i hopped onto a bus. Roamed around fr a while and then checked out JC road and picked a few stuff.
Morning,, it was time to head off to Calicut via mysore. Had no plans to venture out to Nilgiri or ooty but eventually did. Reached mysore in no time and from there road conditions were horrible uptill Bandipur. @mysore town :-
I believe somewhere after Mudumalai Tiger reserve/Bandipur National Park I lost my way. landed up in thick tea planations and kept riding. The landscape was beautiful, chilly and was throwing blind corners after corners. maybe a thousand of emm dat day. Ended up visiting tantea estate and nestle India's estate too. Afta all dis,i strted to worry as it was getting dark and I see no signs of " Thamaraserry Churam " which is like a gateway into Kerala. Around 5 in the evening I rode down the churam. 9 hairpin bends in the 14 km long dangerous pass. It was really dark thrghout the pass and was raining heavy. Road in side the pass is horrible to say the least. Shot a video of the entire ride thrgh the pass, about 25 minutes and its too big to be uploaded.

to be continued.....

I was waiting for this thread...Amazing ride man. Why did it take you so long to go back home?
I also got caught by the cops with their so-called speed guns on Monday when I was returning to Hyd. They write 80, but then there is a small board saying 60 for 2 wheelers!
50 bucks bribe.
Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Here you go......Originally posted by gaurav_gaumzy View Postwell done bro!!
waiting for rest of the pics.
After crossing the Thamaraserry churam, decided to head to Calicut and stayed overnight after spending the evening at calicut and kappad beach. Next morning made ma way up to kasarcod via Kurnool and the union teriitory Mahe. (pterol costs just 51 rs a litre here). Kasarcod and Kurnool owns the most horrible roads in kerala. The ride was maddenning, washed away roads and hardly any width on the highway. Bekal fort ws the order of the day at Kasarcod. this location is made famous by the flick called Bombay where Arvind swamy cries away to glory humming tu hi re..tu hi ree....
