It was a great ride, the RX is for me the love of my life. Sad you let your RX go. They dont make them like that anymore.

              Thanks Nitin,
Yeah the Mysore-Nanjangud stretch was pathetic to the core! Wasted a lot of time and energy to get through. We were riding at a leisurely pace most times. The Thamarassery ghat section was another real bad sector.

              Take care,
              Cheers!

in kerala, the faster the safer. otherwise those maniac bus drivers will hit you from behind!

love the 2 strokes(especially the rx100 since i own one) and the rides on them. xbhp has a lack of 2 stroke trip logs/travelogues. this is going to be a nice addition. dont know why some people underestimate these timeless classics thinking that they are unreliable. i know some rx135's and 100s which did the leh trip successfully despite their lack of ceecees. i think i'm starting to sound like a fanboy again

                  Hi there,
You are so right about the maniac bus drivers! They, along with the heavy seasonal traffic made us cut short our trip. Passed through Chalakudy both ways, (close to our destination-Perumbavoor). Yes the RX is quite and underestimated bike and the pleasure of riding it is quite unique.

                  Take Care,
                  Ride Safe

Ouch!!! that was indeed a mistaken route. The SH is not worth the saved 30 Kms.

                      Thanks aargee!
You can double that Ouch! That was one of the most pathetic stretches ever. It was getting dark and with wife as pillion with her haversack, it was tough going to put it mildly.
Thanks for the *****s buddy, real nice of you

Kerala is beautiful, but the traffic is not, one of the most disorganised in India i think
