. Mera bhi same problem hai 'Goa' ke saath. Every time I plan, something turns up and ride gets postponed. Even I had planned for Goa in the last months of 2010. Still, plan keeps getting postponed. Hopefully will ride to Goa this year. Waiting for the rest of the log....

bro, I can understand your feelings. but this time, i was able to do it cos of many xbhpians. naming all of them here is an absolute impossibility. buddy even you have helped me to carry on. if you can ride to malshej with your dio, why am i not riding ahead of the pune boundries.. hence the ride.

yup.. the log is finished. but after finishing the log and when i was about to put the rest of it here, i realised that i had missed out a very important part.. the people who made the ride memorable... I am compiling it... it should be up in a couple of hours

The people who made this ride a memorable one

Goa as a destination always had fascinated me for the thrill for the beaches. However, after the ride ended, when I was to take the turn to Pune, I realized that my riding buddies are the ones who were the ones who made this ride a memorable one. I am sure that had I gone there alone, I would have returned the very next day because I would simply start missing my friends. and never during my ride did I miss my friends. in fact so much that one of my friend called me up on 1st of jan and I asked him, who? And he was like “ come face to face and then iwil tell you who”. The buddies here were even more special because all I knew about most of them a day before was their avatars on xbhp. Nothing else. While, most of you might know them personally since they have been here for a long time, I will introduce them for the rest of us who crave for perfect riding buddies. So here I go with my buddies in alphabetical order...

Anant bhatia aka Antz.Bin

I have known him only for the last 4 months. Ridden for 1 ride earlier, and a good person at heart. He has a nice series of rides under his belt. And “South India exploration ride” (against child labor) is just one of them. Rides a p 220 and can be called the fastest Indian with him having touched in excess of 145 kmph on his steed

Alankar Mishra aka alankarmishra

This person is the bugger who likes the FCUK pretty too much. Never met him earlier, but had heard about him a lot courtesy the leh diaries. A very cool minded biker and has been very good at tailing this ride. He rides a R15, and kept me roflmao with his quick witted and sarcastic comments.

Anup Abraham aka Anup

The only HR guy with whom, I was frank… lol… a very cautious rider and a good leader. On top of this, this guy also has a funny bone. What more can I say! A pretty reserved guy but oh damn, a very good cook… by the way, he also made the pancakes on the 31st night for my birthday… buddy, looking forward to have those pancakes again…

Sachin Nair aka SachinNair

Initially, I thought that this person is a noob who by chance got a zmr... but oh how wrong I was. Though new to the biking scene, he is a very responsible rider, and knows where his limits are. He was made the scrape goat for all jokes but he took it very sportingly... Helmets off to you buddy....

Satyen poojary aka satyenpoojary

Most of the people here will know this guy by his name and I don’t even have to put his pic here. But I have been threatened that I I don’t put his pic as the best one, the breather pipe ghost will haunt me for the rest of my life so here is the pic…

To be serious, He is one of the best riders I have ever ridden with. Rides a RTR 160. Has numerous rides under his belt and is aptly named as supercommutourer. Initially, I considered him as an arrogant brainy fella. But with this ride, I was scratching my head as to where the arrogant part went. A very caring, sarcastic, brainy and quick-witted fella.

I had almost skipped this part in the log until I reached the last day which is where coincidently I am stuck… here, I realized that the best part of the ride was not the destination; it was you guys who made the destination worthwhile. Goa can be re-visited anytime, but with buddies like you, the destination will have a meaning worthy of writing here…

Just as a final pic, here is the group pic taken by satyen and conveniently clipped out Anup… (sorry bro)

Ps: I Will be back soon with the next part where I reach office looking like a baboon, I irritate the hell out of online-Satyen, I try my hand at repairing the bike and screw it up and I glue the phone to my head… literally…

Hopes Rekindled. - God finally answers my prayer, and How!
. Beruoist (biruji) spills the beans on the Pune thread about the hideous Poojary gang planning to have a Goa trip this year-end. Almost Immediately, I put a PM to their leader. No reply. I send it again, No reply. I put on the Pune thread about anyone joining for the ride, no reply. Finally, after 2 days, I get a mail from Antz.bin about plans of Goa. (Cut to my bathroom. Me bathing). Sms on my cell- "you have a message on [email protected] from [email protected]
. Finally, after two days of scurrying for the nokia service center, I hand them over the cell for repairs. Then I realize my biggest folly. The battery of my cell phone is not charged. I put it for charging and the cell operates perfectly. Another problem (that did not exist) resolved.
th to 5th

th of December 2010. Every passing day becomes increasingly tough to bear. Oh god how am I gonna survive till the D day.. God please fast forward the days to the D-day. Please end this anticipation. Please put me to rest..

. The days progress, I check, double check, triple check and then lose count of how many times I recollect that on 30th we are leaving for Goa. On 25th, after returning home from my last day in office for this year, I decide to do a quick checkup of bike to find that:-

The rear brake lever stopper pad is missing.
The rear swing arm bush is gone. And there is Excess play in rear swing arm.
There is negligible oil in gearbox.
The horn is not working properly, needs tuning.
Battery is weak., needs replacement

Ps: more to come for the first day of the ride... I fcuk up in the start, I fcukup with my bike, I wsh everyone has constipation and finally, we all love PETA in our own way
