Who needs a stereo when you've got a throttle ? ( Time to turn up the volume.)

Good to see another happy ending, however you could've avoided...
With the help of an mechanic at Hero Honda I got inner cowl of fairing from some other bike, paid Rs50/- for it
as the same thing has happened to you as you say...
I was totally depressed that even after spending so much money this was what they had delivered
This is probably similar what the other guy would've experienced. I highly doubt the same in your case too that you paid money for your original parts that were being swapped for another Xtreme.

Anyway, I like you being honest & glad that you made your Xtreme back to shape as many people will only crib about their mistake & goahead buying another ride for the fear & laziness to restore which you've done successfully. Good.

Liked your spirit in restoring the CBZ- Xtreme rather than cribbing for the GREAT work done by the service centre people.

Great pictures and the road is tempting

          Great work!

Just for you convenience when you hit that route again; while coming back, take a right from Cheetal, the road is narrow, but in good conditions, saves about 40 km and a complete hour! Moreover, it runs along the canal!

Hey dude great write up, i liked every word of it. Only a biker can feel the pain what his/her bike has got when its broke down and restoring and hitting the road back is like one single soul running together as you re more confident with your beast.

I had done with my old splendor and kept its heart beating for 10 years and i know how it feels when you start your beast after recovery.

What a story bro! Good that you took matters in your own hand and the things sorted out in your favour. May your steed and the adventure live long!

Thanks everyone for your kind words.Updation on bike is still going on but availability of spares is a big issue with hero honda.I am still waiting for front Indicators from past six months.By the way I forget to mention total distance covered in trip was 616km.

@aargee I agree with your point which I didn't think at that time but see third picture you can see both inner cowls there but hero honda mechanics stole them and even pointing out they told me that they must be misplaced . Actually these guys are stealing small parts from every accidental bikes and stocking them and selling them outside.I have already searched for them at various dealerships but no luck and without them fairing is vibrating a lot at last I buy it from them.

                      Wow !
Nice writeup and a valiant successful effort of restoring your machine.
and IMO its better to ride solo rather than with a pillion IMO ! You just cannot enjoy the twisties of the hills with a pillion.
