    ELD ! You generalize too much! Not all supercars are unreliable and hard to maintain! I could the unreliable ones off my fingers... Most Aston Martins, Alfa Romeos, THE Ford GT, Lambos before being harboured by Audi... I just can't imagine the Audi R8 breaking down!

    @all:

    Does it happen with motorcycles? Are the Italians as good at engineering reliable bikes as the Japanese or the Germans? I'm thinking yes.. haven't heard of somebody ruing about his Ducati or MV Augusta..

          I can certainly relate myself to all that you mentioned..
          Not a 1000 yet but with even a 600 pumping 93horses its quite a lot to grab on to...

            Aah!! But you do not have undisciplined traffic, hoards of cattle, and such like things to contend with. At 150 Ks, such things can be a nightmare. But then again, I guess your biking season is over... until next year, is it not?
            The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

                Well i defend my case smartly by saying that there are only a handful of companies that make Supercars and you've just counted off half of them!!, and how can you not include Ferrari's? Go to wreckedexotics.com and you can see numerous Cars made by them within this millenium going up in flames just like that!!

                Italians are emotional people, they pour so much love into their machinery that most of them roll-out plain spoilt, and that's also the reason why each individual bike/car made by the Italians have a character, unlike the Germans and Jap's are people who use their ruthless precision to their advantage (AFAIK atleast Germans are suckers for precision)
                I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.
