  • Route Query - Hyderabad to Parli-Vaijnath

    Hello People,

I am planning to go on a weekend drive to Parli-Vaijnath. Plan is to start off from office between 2-3 PM in the afternoon and take the following route.
    Madhapur(Hyderabad)-Sadasivpet-Zaheerabad-Bidar-Alandi-Udgir-Ahmadpur-Ghat Nadur-Parli-Vaijnath.
    Total Kms = 306.
Another alternative is to take the NH-9 till a place called Umarga and then deviate to Latur and then to Parli-Vaijnath. The distance here is 330 Kms approx.
In this case, however, 200 Kms out of the total is purely NH-9, whereas in the former, I would be traveling mostly on State Highways, with approximately 80 Kms on the NH-9.

My Discover 125 can do a 70kmph easily (Without vibes). and one thought I have is that, by going on the Second route, I can cover the 200 Kms within 3-4 hrs with breaks. So, if I reach Umarga by 6:00 PM Max, the rest of the 100 odd Kms can be done in another 2 hrs. I would like to minimize traveling in darkness cos my bike hasn't got a great lighting and I prefer being safe, than reducing time of journey.
I am hoping to reach Parli-Vaijnath by night and sleep for the night and then visit the temple in the morning on Saturday and then start off by late morning and reach home by Late evening on Saturday. I'm in no hurry for the return journey since the NH-9 isn't much of a bother for me, be it night or day. It is only the state highways that I'm worried of, because of the overladen tractors and the suddenly appearing cyclists/people.

Request assistance here. This is a solo trip I am undertaking on an unknown route after a long long time. Also, any hotel suggestions in Parli-Vaijnath are welcome. I am not too worried about comforts. Mandatory requirements are a clean bathroom and a clean bed.
Bike's just back from servicing and feels pretty good.

I guess the thread can be closed, got no suggestions. I'll be opening a new thread for the Trip log.
