I have been on two wheels from 2001 onwards, had a major accident in 2003 with left femur(thigh) broken--rod--,that didn't loosen my spirit of riding.
My family was against riding to far away places since I got my license in 2007.Back in October 2009 i bought a Pulsar 220 Dtsi, which i believe is the best touring bike in India.Doing a ride with my friend Adhip Verma(@Adp) to Kumaon in 2010 made me realise the fun of leans and edgy hill roads to the maximum.
I first time read about Spiti back in 2007 from my Uncle, the first thing which struck me was the name. The name "Spiti" means "The Middle Land", i.e. the land between Tibet and India.
As it was March going from the Rohtang La was not possible.Delhi xBhpians Shantonil Nag and Abhishek Bhatt made this trip just a week back before i started, they gave me the basic idea of the risks, the tarmac and each and everything about their successful ride.I like to thank them for that.
Solo To Spiti/एकलस्पीतिके लिएसवारी
Doing Solo was not my idea, but as I called many of my biker mates, they were either busy with work or they could not make it..
Done solo to many times in 2010 ,it was not that difficult, but the big question was can i do it ?
Do I have it in me?
One week before the ride i could sleep with the excitement.
Finally I was Game for this.
Many times i thought i should not do it,but finally D-Day was up..
