as per your plan you are visiting malshej..so ride few kilometers ahead till pimpalgao-joga village and take turn for Junnar...from junner head towards Narayangao where you can see Giant Radio Telescopes..and you can reach pune via khed-chakan...

your next destination mahabaleshwar is a real cakewalk...stick to NH4 and boards & signs will lead you there...

there is a ghat section which connects mahabaleshwar to NH17..stick to NH17 till goregao and take left from junction...you will reach shrivardhan via mhasala..I would suggest you to visit Diveaagar which is hardly 1 hour ride from shriwardhan...roads are awesome..blue sea on left hand,green jungle on right hand and empty buttersmooth road ahead..completely bliss...

road to murud goes via mhasala,no matter you take it from shriwardhan or dive-aagar...this road goes through jungle and is in completely bad condition..

follow this same road which ends at Alibaug goes via kashid,revdanda,nagaon..there is a lighthouse and Korlai fort between kashid-revdanda way...I would suggest visit nagaon beach rather that alibaug...from where you can continue to Wadkhal naka -panvel and mumbai...
