For how many days will it be happening? During the weekend?
We are miles away from the routine.
          Headlights rise over the horizon.
          Pierce the morning fog.
Cut through the clutter in our minds.
          Carve new highways!

                Been there... dont worry.
                And where is Mr. Rupesh..

@MAXzma - it will be actually 3 days. One to ride up, one to spent there and one to ride back. Yes, mostly over a weekend (Fri-Sun).

I'll be starting a form to fill up the details as soon as we have a g2g and come to some initial decision on dates.

@milan, as per your knowledge, is 2 days enough to cover up almost the best parts of wayanad? id so , we can plan it like the munnar one. riding up-full friday, sat n sun till afternoon-@wayanad and riding back after lunch. or should the ride back extended to monday, so that we can avoid night riding through these dangerous kerala roads ?
i would prefer some dates to the end of june.

@lijo, rupesh is busy till may 25th, xams happening. I ll let him know about the happenings and get back to you.

Some body pointed out that it ll be raining to the end of june, but without slight rains, kerala is not enjoyable dude and also you cant predict the rains here, even now, its raining like monsoons here, think it ll be like summer during that time !!

Well Wayanad is a vast place with a lot of places to see!Its more of a 1 week thing! But as for a 2 day plan,we can cover alot of good places! The places that I would recommend is:

                      1. Edakkal Caves:
                      2. Meenmutty Or Soojipara Waterfalls:
                      3. Muthanga Wildlife Sactuary:Click image for larger version

                      4. Kuruvadweep(if time allows):

These are some of the places we can go to!Riding at night is not so much of a problem! The road is pretty good almost all the way!The only thing we need to watch out for is the Thamarasherry Hair Pin Curves. We should clear that part in day-light itself!

As far as the stay is concerned, i think we should stay at Sulthan Bathery! It has all that we'll need near by!

And as far as the return journey is concerned,we should leave according to everyone elses convenience! Some ppl may not be able to take so much leave!

BUT I WOULD IDEALLY RECOMMEND 3 FULL DAYS!!!

Lemme knw wat you think and if you want more details!!!Cheers!!!

Eddakal caves - have to reach there early enough to avoid the crowd!
Meenmutty waterfalls - really really tough trekking - not for the frail bodied!!

And yeah, I think we should restrict to these 4 places itself. To see Wayanad completely, even 3 full days there wont suffice...

By june end,it wil be off season. The schools would have opened by then!So not so much rush is expected!Ya,meenmutty involves some heavy trekkin!it is not for ppl on the heavier side!

So we can think of Soojipara Waterfalls! Its breathtaking! It dosnt invlove much trekkin, but around 10-15min walking!!!

                          Check it out:

But i strongly believe we need at least 3 full days to enjoy these 4 places!!!

Lemme knw if any1 wants more clarifications!!!Cheers!!!

But Soochipara involves a bit of riding right?
