  • [Photo Feature]: A Quickie to DD hills

I have been wanting to do DD hills for quite sometime now (after reading a few threads here). I had to work last weekend but did not want to miss out on the riding drug which has gotten me very addicted to it recently! Opportunity knocked my door at 4 in the morning last Saturday and we got up, geared up and hit the road. We thought of starting by 430 but got delayed by some 15 minutes. We reached the top of DD Hills by 615. It was awesome!!! It would have been a bit better if we were there half an hour before because we could have seen the sun rising up then. Anyways even this was so magnificent and I'll not bug you guys more. I'll let the pictures do the talking. Hope you like it.

We are miles away from the routine.
    Headlights rise over the horizon.
    Pierce the morning fog.
Cut through the clutter in our minds.
    Carve new highways!

Thanks bro! And yeah we should go there as early as possible. All the surrounding places are engulfed in mist even at this time of the year.. Surprising!! Wanted to be there before the sunrise but missed the mark by half an hour.

DD hills or Devarayana Durga hills its called. We have to take Tumkur Road from Bangalore. Comes around 80 km from the city. Good roads throughout. Sometime before Tumkur, we got to take a right. You will find signboards to the place.

                          Google Maps Directions

There is nothing much to see on top. Just the ride, the views and the temple. Heard there are lots of places around DD hills too but we did not have time as I had to get to office in another hour.
