Chandigarh - Chitkul: 360 kms.
Route: CHD - Shimla - Narkanda - Rampur - Karchham - Sangla - Chitkul
Diversion: Keep on NH-22 untill Karchham Dam site. Take right from Karchham.
Karchham to Sangla: 21 kms.
Sangla to Chitkul: 42 kms.

Road Condition:
Shimla - Narkanda: Few patches, maintenance is in progress.
Almost 15 kms is little dusty near the Karchham Dam Site. Depends on your luck if you find water sprinkled on the road for you
Karchham - Chitkul: mix of bad & Good. No major issues except one frequent land slide area(approx 4kms before Sangla)

Stay:
PWD Rest House: Should be booked from Bhawa Nagar(on the way after Rampur)

Thakur Guest House: Good & economical. 9805602778/9459270841.

On the way, I was thinking that Chitkul will be beautiful but was not expecting to be Amazingly Beautiful

I was amazed to see abundance of nature all around, but someone at the entrance of the village was not happy with my arrival at all, even was not willing to look at me.



Though I have been sent empty handed from Bhawnagar, yet I tried my luck and went to the PWD rest house to enquire if I can get any room there, but again no fate.






This hotel is at the end of the road, no body can drive/ride further, I parked my bike there only and got a room for 300 bucks. Though he asked for 500, but I was given the advantage of being solo




Gosh again overexposing . These are some of the reasons when I feel having a good camera, otherwise my IXUS 70 id doing a great job.



The hotel owner is a good person and was doing all his work by himself. There was no cook/servant.

Had a tough time few kms before and after the dam site. As compared to dust yesterday I found mud all over. My stock tire was not helping much and I had to put some extra effort to control my bike and maintain the speed, but I was enjoying this too or you can say I had to like it

And then I kept on riding, stopped somewhere near Bhavnagar to have aloo paratha and tea another stop at Narkanda, had a lemon tea and left to conclude the journey.
