This thread is about my solo ride from kalyan to Murud and Janjira Fort..

Really it's a great place to go if you are planning a one day return trip then YES Murud-Janira Via Kashid hault is best option you have in summers.

Kms to cover Kalyan -Kashid- Murud-Janjira-Kalyan 304 kms

Bike -Yamaha R15 Black

Route used : kalyan >> shiplhata >> Panvel>> Pen>> Alibaug entrance by pass to murud >> Kashid>> Murud>> Janjira. Saem while return.

It all begab with my 3 days off from office.I was planig from long back that i have to go to some bike trip but never use to get planned. But this time as it was three days then i had to plan. intially i planned from Mahabaleshwar but as it is month end then planned to some near by trip which will be affordable.

I planned for Kashid beach. and got done with it. but soon i realize that Kashid near to Murud and Janjira fort, so planned for Kalyan-Kashid-Murud-Janjira-Kalyan. It was a great plan.

Left from home at 5:am as i didn't wanted traffic while riding.

First stop at Panvel to refuel my R15 got fulled my tank at Rs500. as there was some fuel left, didn't wanted any fuel issue while trip. As i know 14-15 liters would much suffiecent to complete this trip.



one thing i knew that way to Kashid and MurudJanjira goes from Alibaug but din't know how?????

So planed to reach Alibaug with out any stop, my crusing speed was 90-100km/hr by the time i crossed Pen it was full light and could drive more then that..

NOTE:- Friends there are many three speed breakers set all over the road from shilphata to panvel city. Be very cautious while driving.

Reached Alibaug till 7:30 am, but the real head pain started from alibaug. i asked a old man about the route to Murud-Janjira he directed me and i followed it. there were many sign ons which helped to track the route. But really a blunder was, road was with in the village, we have to go very cautiously through the viallage and it is damm very ZIGZAG road, you get small kids playing on road complimentary with the village b pass.

but some part of village was very beautiful.

Saw very company just near to sea cost. You can see the beauty of the village meeting the sea coast. Very beautifull scenary is waiting to be seen. i bet these scene must be more beautiful in monsoon...

Reached Kashid at 9:00am 1.5 hrs just to reach murud from alibaug merely 32 kms from Alibaug. Left Kashid at 9:10 am with a coconut water. Which refreshed me alot.

reached Murud at 9:30am 15 kms from Kashid. haulted there as my butt was paining a rel gift if riding a Sports bike.

Saw the mighty and gracious Sea shore with the aggressive waves.

Left for Janjira just 3 kms from Murud Village. Murud and Janjira is fully Muslims population. Very good to talk people. I parked my bike at Janjira port from were i caught the ferry to Janjira fort. it coasted 20Rs per adult ticket. It takes 30 min from shore to fort through water.. i din't see any motor boat used to travel, there are only wind boats to travel.

Murud is very less populated village and i must say that Murud is gaining public interest.

There is a rule that we need see the fort with in 45 mins... else boat will leave us and go. For this we need a guide to see the fort's main points. Guide cost is Rs1200. This was a crap so i decide to see it by myself. later Guide itself asked me, am i alone and i said yes, i won't pay 250Rs, he himself said that Rs50 will do.

Watched whole Janira with Guide it was really fun. He said lot of shairi and enjoyed a lot his company. i myself inisist you all please catch "Mustaki" and gang to see the Janjira and fery.

Left Janjira-murud by 11:00am and reached back to Kashid rested for nearly 1 hr and enjoyed the beached and it's wave.....

Reached alibaug at 1:30 and rested there too ate food it was very cheap and tasty......

Now finally time to leave alibaug at 3:30pm and reached kalyan by 5:45pm.. reahced very quick back home ...it might be just because there was very less traffic..

Day ended with very nice memory to cheerish ahead but enjoyed alot.
