      Road Updates

Delhi to Chakrata via Shahbad (turn here from NH 1) jagadhri, Paonta Sahib, Kalsi - a stretch of around 8-10 kms between Shahbad and Jaghadri is being laid, so very bumpy and dusty. Rest of the route is excellent

Chakrata to Rohru, via Tiuni and Hatkoti - Deplorable, bare surfaces, rocks, loose gravel. The stretch from Tiuni to Rohru starts off as promising for the first few kms, but after that its the same old dirt track

Rohru to Narkanda, via many small villages and Baghi: Roads from Rohru to Sungar/Sungeri (where the road splits for Narkanda and Rampur) is moderately bad with the occassional tarmac stretches. Thje 40 kms from Sungar/Sungeri to Narkanda is the worst of the trip. Ypou will get some relief as you join the recently laid stretch of NH 22 a few kms before Narkanda

Narkanda to Delhi via Theog, Shimla, Kandaghat, Kalka, Ambala, Karnal, Sonepat - Narkanda to Shimla is good with around 10 kms of the road yet to be laid.. the usual potholes and exposed roads. Shimla to Kalka, a total dream. The rest of the stretch, the NH 1 is largely good except diversions for flyovers etc
