Route : Bangalore – Hosur – Krishnagiri – Thiruvannamalai - Cuddalore
Total Kms Covered : 325 Kms
It was Thursday evening, Mayand gave me a call and wanted me to plan some trip. He was not interested for any hill station or historical places, so wanted me to plan for east or west coast. Finally he agreed to head Pondicherry. It was a new route for me and we did not do any studies, so I suggested to drop the plan. Friday morning I was discussing the route details with my Tech Lead Thiru, who is from Cuddalore. I was worried about the language problem, but suddenly Thiru showed some interest for the ride. As we did get one local person, I did not see any problem riding in night. As plan was to stay at Thiru's home, I decided to leave after noon instead of leaving 2 AM next morning. I just gave a basic detail and thing to carry for the ride. Soon after that we took the google map and decided to meet up at Silk Board signal at 2 PM. It was around 1.30 PM, I reached at my room and quickly packed everything. At around 2.15 PM, everybody gathered at the meeting point. After some basic riding lessons, finally we took the Electronic City fly over towards Hosur.

Meeting point at Silk Board Junction
We didn't had out lunch at Bangalore, so decided to settle down our stomach near to Hosur. We took one hour to finish the lunch. Mayand did not have the hard copy of RC book, so wasted some time at Hosur to get that printed. Finally at around 4.30 PM, we could able to leave Hosur. Near to Mc D/ HP Petrol Bunk, we filled our fuel tank and headed towards Krishnagiri. When we entered NH 66 after Krishnagiri, we stopped one place to give some rest to Thiru's bike. By the time the engine was getting cooled, we enjoyed some delicious fried fish at the road side.

Had lunch here. Before to Hosur

Krishnagiri

After Krishnagiri the road was bad for around 30 KM.. Some scary pot holes slowed down our momentum. We took few breaks to refresh ourself and also allowed Thiru's bike to cool down. Just before Thiruvannamalai, we took our dinner at a small hotel. We could not get much varieties, but the plain dosa was mouth watering. At around 9.30 PM we finally left from there. It was around 11.30 PM we reached Thiruvannamalai. We struggled a bit to find out the state high way 68 to Cuddalore, but the GPS helped us a lot. At around 1. 30 AM, we reached the Thiruchi - Chennai NH 46 and had tea there. The next destination we set to Cuddalore and we made it by 2.30 AM.

Before to Thiruvannamalai
